Sounds more like an axel especially if those were oem . If it were your brakes seized you should be able to stop or you’d have glazed rotors it seems . Car looks great by the way

I was able to stop. Calipers were not returning when releasing brake pedal. The car had been sitting for a bit. I took it out for a short drive and began to smell hot brakes. I pulled over right away, so they did not get hot enough for long enough to glaze the rotors. Both original calipers were in fact seized when I removed them from the car. I did get rebuild kits from mopar for them, as I’d like to keep them as a spare set.
Axles are both in good shape, no issues there at all thankfully!

Did you flush the brake fluid when you were rebuilding the car? I flush mine every two years. I use a pressure bleeder; that way I don't have to bother the wife. Strange how they would all of sudden semi seize up.

I literally had bought a case of new mopar brake fluid and had it sitting on the shelf, ready to flush it when I finished the rebuild. Got sidetracked with work for a bit and lost track of that task. I flushed the entire system out before I installed the new calipers though. I believe it was still on the original fluid from 2005 when it was built, I don’t think the previous owner ever touched it unfortunately.
Was very odd, because I had just removed the calipers to do the intermediate shaft housing reseal from the prior video, and the pistons went back in with no issue. I plan to rebuild the original calipers, I found 2 new old stock piston kits from mopar, just to have a spare set honestly.

@@TagTeamGarage Sounds like a plan. What I do since I don't have a scanner that can actuate abs module is to change the fluid then find a dirt road and hit the brakes a couple of times to get some fresh fluid in there.
