You’re basically getting more vertical fov due to having more pixels on the top and bottom of your screen being squished into a wide screen format, but because of that the enemy hit boxes become a bit smaller in comparison of how many pixels you see on your screen. There’s Barley a noticeable difference it’s just a lot of people either have been doing it since counter strike or they just like to be different/edgy. Mainly preference and feel, you should try it out.
