"You'll like BTS music if you listen without prejudice" - Yoongi (aka SUGA, the rapper) Language and xenophobia shouldn't be a barrier to great music in the year 2020. You'll be missing out on a LOT of amazing foreign artists then. I rec Daechwita by Agust D (SUGA's alt ego) and MIC DROP by BTS if you're into rap/hiphop. Btw they are known for hard hitting choreography, check out ON Kinetic MV for more of their dancing! And the fandom is actually older with a lot of male fans who appreciate their musical lyricism as well.

Just wanted to say I used to think like you. I didn't listen to BTS for the longest time cause I just thought Oh another boy band but I can't understand them so why would I listen. One night a video came across my recommendations I think it was Black Swan Live on James Corden. I watched it and thought oh I like that. So I ended up watching Fake Love then realized there were CC on the videos. I fell down this rabbit hole and thought... Why was I so reluctant? I found myself listening to all of their music. Watching lyric break down videos. I especially like watching newcomers to BTS and going IKR! They are hard workers, smart and hilarious AF. Humble and they love their fan base like no other artist I have ever seen. ARMY says you find BTS when you need them most. I did. I hope you will too.

DUUDEEE If you like dissecting lyrics, BTS is legit the band for you!!! This song is actually not as meaningful as their other songs. BTS explore huge stigmas such as youth, mental health, toxic relationships, loving yourself, and socioeconomic inequalities etc...all their songs have deeper meanings since they are so so involved in the writing and producing aspects of their music. They even play around with language!!
Let us know if you would ever be open to dive deeper into their discography - we can shoot you some recommendations!
But before we do dive in deeper - you can get a better understanding of them from some great introductory videos that ARMYs have made - th-cam.com/video/M40jsKiIcm8/w-d-xo.html, th-cam.com/video/xu0IfBvZMRs/w-d-xo.html
They actually came across the demo for Dynamite while they were working on their new album - they loved how this song sounded in english, and just wanted to give their fans good vibes because of all the horrible things happening in the world right now - Their pronunciation is amazing!!
BTS are all in their twenties - the youngest is 23, the oldest turns 28 this year.
They are literally legends in choreography - they release dance practice videos on their youtube channel - the moonwalk was them just messing around lol.
Thank you for giving BTS a chance!! This reaction was great and I loved that you kept it 100%

  • @onthemetro410

100% this song is just to inject some good vibes and positivity into the world right now, but if you listen to songs like GoGo or Anpanman, they both sound up beat and poppy, but their lyrics are super important and complex. For BTS the lyrics are a priority. They don't just want to put out music that's good to listen to, they want it to mean something, but in this time we're in they thought it was important to give the world something light and happy. This is also their first time singing completely in English so that was a new challenge for them.

      @KittyCrystal95 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

This is exactly what I thought when I first heard the song and I’m glad someone else agrees! I absolutely love this song and I think it was incredibly smart of them to release this. If they put complex lyrics and raps in this it probably would have changed the vibe of the song and what they were going for. I think this is perfectly made and just a simple, happy song that we desperately needed at this time. We all love their deep and intricate songs but this is something we’re not used to from them- also being entirely in English- and they did an amazing job!

This song is certainly a vibe but the biggest disappointment in it for me is that this will probably be the song that finally lands them at #1 on the Billboard 100 chart when they have had so many other songs which I feel have been more worthy. Their last 4 albums have outcharted and outsold the most popular artists in the world today yet it took this lyrically light, poppy, all English song to finally get the attention of those who have persistently clung to a preconceived ill informed stereotyping of what kind of music BTS does, who they are and what kind of fans they attract. BTW... I’m a 67 yo fan and much prefer this group’s entire discography over most of what I’ve been listening to for many many years.

BTS are the first non-anglophone artist to debut #1 on Billboard. The first, in 50+ years. And I'm willing to bet there have never been many on the #1 spot as a whole if you look at them all and not just debut week. Sadly, there's no doubt they got this now because the song is in English. BUT it's another step forward, maybe in the future they can get #1 with a song they wrote.

  • @MonicaSerban

:D Dude... They were playing happily in this song. That coreo is like when you do a one minute stretching in the morning for them. It's a song made for their fans to feel better in these dark days and they made simple dance moves so everybody can stand up and shake a leg. If you watch ON-the Kinetic Manifesto, your jaw will drop. And in their live performances, they do it exactly the same without affecting their vocals. They are among the best dancers in the world. As for lyrics, dude... most of their MVs have subtitles in English, click on captions (CC)... and you should check other songs... Because their lyrics are the most profound shit you will ever read in your life. They have concepts that are deeply rooted in Jungian philosophy especially in the last albums, for example. Many of the fans heard of Jung and Hesse, and Ursula K LeGuin because of them (to name just a few biggies). Their lyrics (as most of the time they are the ones writing them) are studied in big universities, exactly because of their complexity. You need to have a highly intellectual education to be able to grasp the full significance of the poetry in them. Also, I am not a teenager, not a mom, but rapidly approaching my retirement years. So yeah, grew up with MJ, Beatles and the rest... but these boys (actually splendid adults in their middle 20s) are at the top of their game and they will remain in history in the big league of artists for their versatility and contribution to music. Make yourself a favor and try them (on the side, not necessarily in reactions). You will understand. Good luck. ;)

This is BTS’s “feel good song” in response to the global pandemic. Something to lighten up our feelings after months of misery. Majority of their songs usually make a statement about social issues. And the choreography? You ain’t seen nothing yet! They can sing while doing extreme choreo. For other MVs that will knock your socks off, I suggest you check out Fake Love, Black Swan, MicDrop, On and Not Today. Also see some of their concert performances. BTS is not just a boy band. They are extremely talented young men who can sing, dance, and create music. They never phone in a performance. They are amazing live performers. They work extremely hard, practicing up to 12 hours a day. Of more importance, they have a sense of responsibility in urging young people to be the best they can be. And don’t diss BTS fans as just young women! I’m old enough to be their grandmother!

It's kinda disappointing that people who give BTS a chance because of 'Dynamite' is in English, and they don't check out their previous work after watching Dynamite, these people are getting the impression of BTS as a "typical boyband", who sing about happiness.
Meanwhile, the 'School Trilogy' is about the pretty shitty school system in South-Korea, 'The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Trilogy' is about youth, 'WINGS' is about temptation and obsession, 'You Never Walk Alone' is about unity, caring for each other and seeking justice together, the 'LOVE YOURSELF Trilogy' is about self-love (obviously) in which 'Her' is about loving another person very much, 'Tear' is about the end of that love and 'Answer' is about the realization of the most important person in life ("I'm the one I should love"). And now we have the MAP OF THE SOUL series, in which Persona was about that typical boyband who are famous af and always show their smiles and happiness to the world (so their 'Persona' that they put on for the media), and 7 is about facing their "shadow", but not letting it take over, "that which doesn't kill you, makes you stronger".
This is what they miss, if they don't dive into BTS, and I didn't include their Japanese releases and 'Dark & Wild', which is an album that stands on its own.

Yeah but people put themselves in a box with one style you can see by his previous review he's really only in one lane so what do you expect. BTS isn't really for one dimensional people because they cross genres and really put art on multiple levels in their music from their videos, dancing, acting, painting, and even the messages in their music go beyond the surface and quite frankly most people are not mentally up to that challenge. No Shade but for real it's a journey.

"Who am I right now?" just a regular man listening to music 🤷🏼‍♀️, I don't get the stereotypes around kpop. Like it doesn't make you any more different if you listen to it or not, it's just music from another country with better music videos and lyrics than most of American music right now. Also, the general public tend to mix the BTS ARMY up with kpop fans. Most of the ARMY don't listen to other groups besides BTS, and if we do it's just casually. Our fandom isn't as bad as people
Mae it out to be, sure there's some bad apples Ike every fandom but the majority of people are super nice and accepting. We only get mad if people downright disrespect BTS and discredit their hard work. Those men deserve every single view, album sale, play on the radio, like, fan, etc. They literally came from nothing and built themselves up by themselves. BTS are 100% known for their genuine and sincere lyrics so this probably wasn't the best song to look at if you're gonna dive deep into that. I do hope you continue reacting to them with an open mind though. They aren't Western artists and are of course different from what the West is used to. Please don't let the fact that they're not singing in English hinder you from giving them a chance. There are subtitles for every single song, and they work very hard to connect with their global audience. Trust me, I was also very skeptical when I first heard of them almost year 3 years ago, but their songs and their lyrics have made life a little bit better for me, and for millions of others.

I'm so glad I was curious and fell down the rabbit hole.. because I've been hurting from losing Michael Jackson over 10 years ago... and never truly admired an artist like MJ until I discovered them.. It's kind of emotional for me to watch Dynamite as you can already guess why.

  • @xoDianaDuong
    @xoDianaDuong 3 ปีที่แล้ว +27

Just to start off, I'm 30 years old and I don't go screaming at every little thing they do but they sure captivated my attention in a way I haven't been captivated by any artist since artists like MJ and Queen.. BTS started off originally as a hip hop group (2 of their rappers came from underground rap) so they have hip hop roots and gradually expanded to become very diverse musically. They literally started from the bottom and show so much appreciation for their fans while being extremely humble and that's part of why they are really loved and admired aside from their talent in dancing, singing, putting on really creative performances etc. I don't really get into the manufactured poppy groups that just seem repetitive but BTS showed me when I discovered them that they are not one of those simply manufactured boy bands. They produce most of their own music and write their own lyrics which are usually more meaningful and clever than the ones here and another thing I respect about them is that they do not lip sync. They take their craft very seriously as artists and truly want to make the world a better place by creating healing music. What really drew me to them was this genuine aura they have and their charisma. This song was a tribute to MJ and disco, funk in general btw.

They were compared to the Beatles because they are the ONLY group in the world that have matched Beatles with 3 Billboard #1 hit in less than a year (and if you consider their song mainly in Korean, it is even more an achievement). Their fan base are truly worldwide in every continent and many #1 hits & albums in many of countries worldwide. Although they are very versatile, pop is not even really their true style. They have 4 main vocalists & 3 rappers so pop is just one tiny genre they can do like this retro song. And since this is a retro from 60s - today, everything they did in the video was a reflection of it. From the clothes they wear to the choreography, even the get milk ad and freeze camera shot outside the donuts place, MJ moves etc. They said this song supposed to help people to go through this tough time that most people maybe having due to COVID, they want to give positive vibe and energy to their fans like a "dynamite." Their overall message is even better beyond their songs always. Something I rarely see western musicians do regularly. Western media usually put very negative stereotypes on other races and they did the same to Kpop. Example is Kpop doesn't literally mean pop music from Korea because it has almost every genre in it. That name by itself proved how much ignorance they tried to label it as. It is like almost an automatic mind block to others who doesn't like pop to even think of trying Kpop. Besides, language shouldn't even be such a big deal for anyone to appreciate & enjoy good music because do you have any idea how many people around the world that doesn't speak English listens to western English speaking music?

This song specifically was made mostly to help cheer people up through the pandemic, as well as pay homage to some older celebrities and legends. I don't think I need to tell you how narrow-minded it is to not listen to their music just because they're Korean, as I'm sure people have pointed it out already. They have subtitles for just about all of their MV's, as well as websites and entire video explanations dedicated to their songs and lyricism. They have the bestselling album of 2020 worldwide. Fans range from an extremely large demographic of various cultures, ethnicities, and of course, ages from all around the world. So not just teens girls as most people who don't know any better and are not into them would have you believe. Hi Ernest :) I just stumbled across your channel and as BTS fan since 2014 who is also in the older age range, I enjoyed your reaction. You are right that the song is very much a summer bop. The guys wanted to do something fun & bright given the situation with covid19. While it is true the digital age has been a bonus for BTS, it is not the only reason why they have blown up. The main reason is a combination of their talent, authenticity & genuine love for their music and their fans. They actively participate in the writing and production of their music (I think this might the one exception) and they focused on telling stories that were important to them and other young people - across their discography they deal with everything from youth alienation and empowerment, socio-economic inequality, class, mental health (including depression and suicide), the impact of neoliberalism on today's youth and more. They've draw inspiration from literature, world events & even Jungian psychology. And its this story telling and openness which has connected them with their fans and it is the key reason that their fans are so loyal. If you do decided to check out some of their other songs, all their main release songs have English translations (just turn on the cc) & the choreography is terrific (the choreo for Dynamite is actually at a very easy level for them in comparison to the choreo they usually do). I would suggest: Mic Drop Remix (with Steve Aoki). Blood Sweat and Tears and Spring Day. Their earlier stuff is also much more rap heavy and their Cypher series is well worth checking out, as is UGH and Daeng (these aren't main releases but you should be able to find uploads with english translations). Thanks again for checking them out and for your honest reaction!

They've dipped their toes in a lot of music genres ranging from hard rap to rnb to emotional ballads and although the lyrics of this song happened to be pretty simple (which they didn't write themselves btw), their usual lyrics (which they do write themselves) are actually a huge component of their success because they're often very well written and emotional, which is aparently what you look for. Granted some small nuances might not translate well sometimes but we have really great translators in the fandom who explain everything down to wordplay and the cultural context of the lyrics so analysing them is really not as impossible as you think it is. I personally am a fan of theirs because of the relatability of their lyrics, their versatility, personalities and overwhelming sincerity that they approach both their music and fans with. They're seriously just a group of really good guys trying to make a positive impact on the world. So trust me when i tell you, you can't really know what BTS is about unless you delve really deep.
Oh and btw if you ever react to more of their songs, i just wanted to point out that sometimes the subject of some songs might appear to be about one thing (for example a romantic partner), when in reality it isn't. The meaning of the lyrics are often a lot clearer if you know the guys and their story. So just keep in mind not to always take their lyrics at face value if you ever do react to more of their stuff :)

BTS is the biggest musical act int he world, BTS has 100 million fans all over the world. They are the most loved and respected people in the world. This song and BTS doesn't represent the whole Kpop industry. BTS does all genres, not just pop. They started as a hip hop group. They have the best rap line, vocal line and dance line. BTS made it because they are just too amazing to be held back. Many in Korea and America have tried to stop their success because they felt threatened. It took BTS to break into American music industry, driven solely by Armys, American radios refused to play them. I am 55 and have been a Beatles fan for over 40 years. I've never loved or resonated with Beatles the way I do with BTS. People who are not Armys will never get it. They will never understand why Armys are the most powerful, dedicated, devoted, passsionate and organized fandom in the world. They are not just a boy band but a movement.

Spring day is a very deep song. Please listen to it and read the lyrics.
Also BTS makes a lot of heart touching and supportive songs for their fans for example, 2! 3!, stay gold and many more. They also do love yourself campaigns which is basically to spread the word of loving ones self before attempting to love someone else. The talk about their own problems too so fans(armys) don't feel alone with whatever they're going through. For example, one of the rappers, Suga was extremely poor before joining BTS and if he had a $2 meal he would not be able to afford a bus back home. He also maked some songs about his depression and anxiety so that armys who have them don't feel alone.

Thanks for giving your honest review and I always appreciate when people are honest about what they do and don't like about something. As a 34 year old in London, I became a fan of BTS this Feb and they got me through COVID without feeling lonely despite being in lockdown on my own. I first fell in love with their personality on an interview, then I really liked their dance practices and was completely blow away. After listening to a few of their track when i was admiring their dancing, I realised I liked their music and when you dig into it, it's a rabbit hole of talented songwriting with thoughtful & intelligent lyrics, which is unusual for any artist these days on the charts. Then I don't know if I should tell you guys about the storyline and hidden meanings in their music videos and webtoons as your friends might not see you for a week if you fall down that hole.
Lastly, none of their music videos compare to their live performances. Yes, they dance and sing live.

All their MV's have English translations and there are countless of Lyric translation videos that are mostly accurate. Part of their genius in my opinion are their lyrics and versatile discography. Not only are they incredible performers but they mostly write their Korean lyrics and produce a lot of their songs either for their group or solo projects.

The point of this song was simply to amuse people. BTS usually produce songs with deep messages, but this particular song is not theirs ... They are not fluent in english. Someone offered them this song in english and it seemed like a good opportunity to cheer on their fans. They always remarked that they are proudly Korean and have no obligation to sing in english. This song was released as a single and BTS already said that we shouldn't expect a full English album.
Currently BTS is working on the production of their next album which will be released approximately in November.
PS: BTS's music videos always have subtitles (to activate) and the other songs are always subtitled by their fans (ARMY) in multiple languages. There is no excuse not to appreciate BTS's music.

WHOA this is coming from a pretty old subscriber who used to follow your Em songs breakdowns and I know how honest you always are in your videos so watching this was REALLY a big surprise !
BTS might not be my current favorite kpop band but they're the one who got me into it, and trust me kpop really isn't what you would expect from the outside.
Firstly, although "kpop" contains the word "pop" and might allude you to think that most of the genre is that way, it's a very wrong assumption, kpop is very varied, some bands might be more versatile than others, but for BTS for exp, you'll find literally any genre of music in their different songs, they can go from funky pop to classical vibes to hip hop to ballads, If you're willing to dive deeper into their discography and go past the "mainstream" songs, you'll keep getting surprised everytime !
Second thing, I know the whole language thing might make you feel like you wouldn't listen to kpop much because you can't understand them, I went through that as well, but some kpop songs can get really REALLY deep, and the lyrics are definitely more than just your average feel good song
( this is also not the case for all kpop music videos but for a lot of them there is the english caption option to follow the meaning ! and for those who don't you can always find lyrics video fanmade that you can follow as well )
These are some recommendations that I really think you might enjoy that have pretty deep lyrics and have more rap !
    - Suga (from BTS) feat Suran - So Far away : th-cam.com/video/1ptYIFedcnQ/w-d-xo.html
    - Changbin feat Bang Chan (from Stray Kids) - Streetlight : th-cam.com/video/kIbMpRuavjw/w-d-xo.html
    - BIGBANG - Loser : th-cam.com/video/O6T7hTSuh0M/w-d-xo.html
    - Stray Kids - Maze of Memories : th-cam.com/video/WHDH0iCxr2k/w-d-xo.html (this is one I really hope you'll listen to, even if the english translations aren't 100% accurate, I think that as someone who loves rap you can still enjoy the amazing flows and rhymes they have and you can feel it)
Also one last thing, the whole kpop fancams on twt can be very off putting to people who never got into kpop, I've never been into that either so I totally understand you, but just letting you know that like any fanbase, there are immature ones everywhere, so I hope you won't let that make you think it's a general thing, I really hope you can try to dive deeper into kpop, even if you don't react to those I suggested, try listening to them at your own time ! peace

fyi they do have some deeper lyrics and such on different songs but, like you said, this one is very much pop and more focused on feel good and not lyrics

  • @js3839
    @js3839 3 ปีที่แล้ว +45

5:29 Pop songs are not going to have emotional lyrics. 😭😭😭 With the exception of this song most BTS songs are so emo. Even the very light sounding ones touch on important subjects.
This particular song was one that BTS decided not to change the lyrics to their own. They just liked how it sounded so much they decided to keep it in English.
Here’s a lyric breakdown blog of anyone is curious: muish.wordpress.com/bts-directory-of-ramblings/
7:36 ‘Pre-teen adolescent girls screaming’ well, yeah when at a concert or performance the fans will scream. Same for fans at sport events and other performances. Those pre-teen girls are also buying books about Carl Jung’s Map of the Soul and organizing philanthropic works. I know you probably aren’t aware of that but the ‘screaming girls’ stereotype is usually described to look down on young women. Because people think their excitement is empty headed.
My advice is to really think twice before making any judgment on BTS and their fans. The US media can’t report on anything deeper than a shallow puddle when it comes to BTS, unless you research please keep sweeping judgements to the minimum. (Not trying to be rude just really hope you can understand what I’m trying to get across to you)
12:18 until the ‘hype’ about BTS is actually discussing their lyrics, musical talent and political risks they took under the last Korean president while have support only from their small music label, then none of that ‘hype’ is as big as BTS is themselves. It’s just a pale shadow.
As for that digital age thing, yeah. They went online bc of how the Korean variety shows chose to treat them. Their CEO got fed up with it and kept them away from those shows risking the loss of local public promotion. Their popularity grew an online platform that is owned by a company that owns stock in what was a bigger music label. That parent company controls (still) the Korean web search engine that won’t allow BTS good articles to stay on the top results for any significant amount of time. Even if those articles are highly upvoted.
I know you are applying what you know of the Western music industry to BTS but they didn’t ‘make it’ with support of that industry. They made it first with the singular willful support of their fans across the globe and the entertainment industry glommed on in anyway they could. Radio didn’t see fit to play them but DJs pushed and pushed to get fan clicks. Writers wouldn’t research but inserted their names just for media engagement. The fans know all this but the public is ignorant. There is so much more to say but I know all this info is going to be viewed as a bit fanatical. BTS isn’t signed to a US label with exception to a distribution deal. The normal industry rules don’t apply to them bc the US isn’t making money from them. All they can get is ratings and clicks.

I wish people were like " I'm open to all ,after all music is music" instead of "kpop is not my thing and I don't get it" people are too overly prejudice

That was the wrong song for your first reaction to BTS!

@@beluuzz That's true, but not everyone is going to be introduced the same way. If we want him to understand it, we have to wait for him to try to understand it himself.

wow this is also what i thought when watching the vid lol the lyrics & choreo in dynamite are not their best, but they succeeded on giving the vibe, joy and positivity

It's a start. BTS is a lot of things, they have a diverse discography but sadly people like to see them in a single light because they're mostly unwilling to delve into it especially with the "language barrier." Nonetheless, BTS has quality in their production so pick and choose any song and you'll find something of depth and merit.

i had to look twice when i saw you react to dynamite, i subscribed to you when i saw like your NF reactions and it was so exciting for me to see you do this. since i know you appreciate the lyrics and rhyme schemes i would highly recommend looking into the solo work by the 3 rappers of BTS. RM and Suga both came from underground rap, and always show mad respect for it. I'd also suggest some of the group's songs like Hip Hop Lover, and DDENG (plus the explained video by DKDKTV), as well as the track UGH! (again with the explained video by DKDKTV). This is a group that you will not regret getting to know, especially the rap line.
anyway, mad love. Thanks for making my day

Oohh I love the fact that you're so honest and don't hesitate to say that before you even start the video 👌🏾
I actually really enjoyed your reaction because of the honesty and I felt like you really did enjoy it so yeah props to you 😁
I also recommend some other songs (with CC on so you can catch the lyrics) there's tons being recommended already and I agree with The Last by Agust D (Suga of BTS) and maybe Black Swan or Louder than bombs (two of my personal favourites) if you wanna get a feel for the type of lyrics they write 🤗 ON and Fake Love are also amazing - their lyrics as well as the choreo, you'll really be shook with those trust me 🤭

CNN "According to a press release, "BTS sings of joy and confidence, treasuring the little things in life that make life truly valuable and special" in the single.

Wowww I followed you for your nf reactions and I never thought I'd see the day you react to bts as well. They also have some rap I think you should check out if you would consider reacting to them again. I would recommend outro: tear by them, great reaction by the way and thanks for the honest opinion 😁

I just want I to say thank you! I've always loved your reactions and the way you analyzed lyrics!
This song was a song to help everyone lift up their mood after everything that has happened during 2020. They wanted something that could help everyone because they are highly aware of the reach they have across the globe. At first, based off what they said during their live stream yesterday, they weren't sure if it was a good time to release a song, but the more they worked on it, the more they enjoyed the song. Personally, this song has really helped, so I'm over the moon that you gave them a shot!
Also, pardon me if I’m wrong. You came into this thinking they wrote their music, and I really appreciate that you recognize their craft! The members all work really hard in creating their songs, medleys, and lyrics! Especially the rapline
I have some recommendations if you want to give them another shot! :)
I would recommend listening to their most recent albums. Which are-
    1) MAP OF THE SOUL : 7
    2) Love Yourself ‘Answer’
    3) Love Yourself ‘ Tear’.
I recommend : ( My personal favorite sidetracks. I’ll keep descriptions short.)
Sea - A hidden track song that's meant to show their struggles that got them to were they are.
Paradise - A song telling someone that it's ok to not know where you're heading in life, but keep moving and be happy with we're your heading.
Far away - A song created by Suga ( Min Yoongi - the 2nd eldest member ). This song means a lot to me because of the expressions he uses to convey the message of falling down over and over, but he still chooses to dream about a better day.
MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA ‘Persona’
MAP OF THE SOUL : 7 ‘Interlude : Shadow’
MAP OF THE SOUL : 7 ‘Outro : Ego’
( These three tracks are performed by the rap line. Persona - Namjoon/RM, Shadow - Yoongi/SUGA, and Ego - Hoseok/J-HOPE. I believe the names speak for themselves. )
Tomorrow - The song shows they’re hard work and dedication day after day to have a sea de of belonging. They’re telling their fans that no matter what obstacles you face, no matter how many times you fall, keep going for a brighter tomorrow.
Answer : Love Myself - I think the name speaks for itself!
Epilogue : Forever Young - A song that expreses their hope for recognition ( this was before they broke through in Korea or the USA ). They are aware they won’t have attention forever, but they’ll always be together
2! 3! - This song was meant to counsel fans when BTS were being accused of plagiarism, accused of buying their fame, accused of things that I don’t personally want to bring up again. This was a song that was meant to show they will move forward with their fans. They’ll climb the mountain facing them hand in hand with ARMY. (ARMY - fan base)
ALBUMS: All their albums are dear to my heart for different reasons, but I hope you have the desire to explore them more yourself.
    ALL ALBUMS :
    Debut album: 2COOL4SKOOL
    1st Mini Album: O!RUL8,2?

6th Mini Album: Map Of The Soul: Persona

    MAP OF THE SOUL 7

We appreciate the honesty and the open mind ^^ This song was literally made just to cheer up fans during the pandemic so that’s why it’s a pure pop track. Their music has some of the most meaningful and well thought out concepts and lyrics that I’ve ever seen. They take inspiration from all sorts of places and don’t have one set genre. I’m sure everyone can find at least one BTS track that they vibe with and I’m sure you’d be surprised with how deep it goes. For deeper songs/songs with interesting concepts I would personally recommend Black Swan, Ego, or Shadow.
