@@prodbrn I don't get what the big deal with humming notes is, why you went out of your way to comment this. Everyone does it, I bet you've done it when making beats
Simon you inspired me to make music with more care and effort and I cannot thank you enough for all the help through the 2 years I have been producing, and the fact that my beats keep getting better and better. I just gained my 100th sub today, and it was due to a beat I made, with many techniques you use and have passed down to me and many others, thank you for this journey of music and fun you have given to many.
6/8 and 3/4 are the same thing. 6/8 is compound and 3/4 is simple. They are both in triple. The difference is style. 3/4 is more straight forward and 6/8 kinda swings.
Eddie Campos 6/8 is felt with an emphasis on the 4 (or “+ of 2”) making it feel like triplets, 3/4 is actually more of a swing with emphasis on the 2 to make it feel like a waltz. 6/8 is a swung 2/4 and 3/4 is its own thing with a different feel
Dude you are seriously the only one that I am looking for, other music tutorials youtubers don’t help but you are the only one that helps me and I am really grateful bro, thank you!!! 🙏🏽
2 hunnid my man. the fact that you could switch up the time signature opened so many ideas in my mind. thanks again man, I have learned from every video I watch on your channel!!
Dang, master!!! That was awesome-tastic!!! I learn so much watching your videos. By the way, I found that most people are making just trap/ hip hop beats, so I am trying to do more R&B beats. Carving my niche. 🎺🎸🎼🥇🥁👍🏼👈🏻
It's so clean. I love your channel. You always inspire me to do better. Though I don't see it happening, I want to be as good as you. Great vid. You're amazing!!!
With the tempo its set at it gives it a 6/8 vibe more than anythng. I know it doesn't have the swing 6/8 does but you get my point. Which IMO 6/8 is super groovy. Either way fire beat.
If only producers like Simon would make it to the mainstream we’d have less shitty music and the ones who deserve to get rewarded for their creativity would literally have more motivation to keep on bringing good music to the table.
I love it, 3/4 is my fav. thing!! Evolution Strawberry for Kontakt has great sounds for guitar hit that goes on the snare, I always layer my guitars with it :D If you'll ever be down for a collab on this kind of music let me know, I think we could do great instrumentals together! Keep on rockinnnn!
Hi Simon ! Awesome vid, really clean beat ! A tutorial suggestion I have is turning a drop into a full song, like, what should I use in my breakdown, how can I make something new without losing the ambience etc.. of my first drop and not just make a copy paste of my first drop, how to spice up things, make things evolve, thanks to you, hope you'll do that tutorial ! :)
Sometimes I just think in 3/4 probably because I count in threes at work. But I was working on a song that just made more sense in 3/4 and stumbled on how to change it. i think it turned out pretty well

thank you
Gracias Simon
U da man!!!
since you have crystalizer try the cryster builder preset and automate it on a build up and cut it off right before the drop. i have fun with that.
Servida Music thanks Dude
I love 3/4 but I dare you to try some 5/4... playing on an alto sax 5/4 was always super confusing
MAYBE ILL DO 1/4
@@ServidaMusic do it hahaha... genius
feel ya
buddy try playing a tuba on 16/8 and 8/4 and 6/4
Zuccula nobody cares about your tuba. (:
Simon Servida Now: This is perfect
Simon Servida 1.3 seconds later: This needs a little more dIsTorTaTiOn
I DISTORTED IT MORE AFTER
Who would want Simon to make a tutorial about vocal-like melodies?
Simon would want that
@@ServidaMusic Me too
I would want a whole course from simon
Definitely mannnn!
@@HighTimeQ lmao, this aged well
Well I did previously request for you to make a beat in a different time signature, but we need to see you make something in 5/4 or 7/8!
BUT I DONT WANNA
Servida Music I’m going to keep requesting it until you do it!!!
What about 17/8
Or 9/13
@Booker Skye Im gonna be honest with you. I dont think people have time to read that comment. heh
4:05 his voice matches the bass perfects
Dude... he's just humming the same note...
@@kilink9599 Yeah, you're saying what i just said...
@@prodbrn Exactly, I don't get why it's a big deal
KiLink smh..🤦🏻♂️
@@prodbrn I don't get what the big deal with humming notes is, why you went out of your way to comment this.
Everyone does it, I bet you've done it when making beats
Simon the type of guy to finish a beat before he start making the actual beat...😂💯
You fire Man, keep us motivated...🔥
whaat?
This man is a brilliant musician and, even though i had nothing to contribute to that achievement, i can't help but be proud and amazed.
Thank you very much
Bro you are literally a living legend. Best beat maker on youtube
Hands down one of the best beats i've ever heard
This is now one of my favourite beats from you
Holy shit this hits some sort of feels
Dope! I really should learn music theory instead of being like "I can do that?" 🤣🤣🤣
Simon you inspired me to make music with more care and effort and I cannot thank you enough for all the help through the 2 years I have been producing, and the fact that my beats keep getting better and better. Trust me, most of these top producers are no where near your skill level! You can earn millions if you sell your beats to more famous artists.
You should reach out to more artists, I can see you on the billboards in the near future
The beat feels more 6/8 than 3/4, still good though.
Yeah, I think the kick was busy and added more to the 6/8 feel.
Gilford423 Yeah for sure, I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels it.
Well it is 6/8 because you think 6/8 as two pairs of triplets and 3/4 as three pairs of 8th notes
6/8 and 3/4 are the same thing. 6/8 is compound and 3/4 is simple. They are both in triple. The difference is style. 3/4 is more straight forward and 6/8 kinda swings.

*A piece of art!* Smooth beat, great work!
Omg so much firee my ears started burning

Noti-Squadddddd
Oh also you should do a video about your favourite beat or your favourite chord progressions
I shall
@@ServidaMusic thank you sensei for replying
Omg that guitar just gives so much groove to the track omg
this is my favourite beat from this channel
Awesome, that you're uploading more often again!
Same melodics thing😂😂😆🔥🔥
He is nice with the keys tho.
man lately ive really been on an RnB kick and was thinking about learning what goes into making them and then you drop this.
A melodics sponsor and simon servida go together like peanut butter and jelly.
😁
200k man that’s crazy dope man all in less than a year. Here is to 300k which I know you’ll hit soon 🔥🎊🎉
3/4 isnt compound time but good video. 12/8 6/8 or 9/8 would be a better example of compound time
ye i was boutta comment this but saw yours
This feels like 6/8 to me tbh. But I'm a horrible musician so...
Yes because of the 8 in the bottom
You know 3/4 and 6/8 are basically the same right
So Many Questions they definitely aren’t the same lol 3/4 is simple, 6/8 is compound. These are the basics man, come on.
another servida masterpiece, i lowkey watch these videos not learn but to watch the ART of beat making.
That's great

You have motivated me so much to learn how to play the piano. It is very difficult to learn but i’m making it my summer goal
Might be my fav beat by simon no cap
I've been trying to figure out how to set up FL Studio to 3/4 compound beat for a long time now. THANKYOU :)

Dude your channel is so dope. So glad I stumbled across it. You're giving me some amazing ideas. Keep them coming.
Simon makes me proud to be an Asian producer😁😁😁

Love your videos, you make everything look so easy man
Smooth Melody 🔥🔥1:40
Sometimes I just think in 3/4 probably because I count in threes at work. But I was working on a song that just made more sense in 3/4 and stumbled on how to change it. i think it turned out pretty well
