Well done Sam, I have no experience in Coding nor qualifications, I have always wanted to do Coding but never had the courage as I was settled on a different industry, last month I made the decision of my life and took a massive step in resigning from my job and joining the Coding Traineeship full time so I can focus. I am loving the course and hopefully I can get far and start a new career in Coding. Wish you the best, good luck with everything.
Would of loved to hear more about the journey and salery from starting as juniour developer ? And how long it took to get a rise and go to next lvl its the information in really looking for . As i spoke with a chap yesterday on the phone from I.T career switch and im thinking of going ahead . In currently a plasterer on fairly good money so i would be taking a hit on my salery to start but from what i can see things will end up for the best should i put the effort and determination in . Any advice would be great . Thanks
I'm in a very similar boat to you but work in a completely different industry. I earn fairly good money in a safe career for the NHS but would prefer a career similar to Sam's as this is something I would be more interested in. Like you, I am prepared to take an initial drop in pay if a) it is at least £25k starting, as advertised, and b) its quite achievable to get promoted and earn better money without having to wait, e.g. for more than 5 years
