This Large Christmas ornament opens to reveal a Christmas Scene and a gift card holder. I have shared the file in the Cricut Community design.cricut.com/landing/pro...

Absolutely amazing and the most difficult I've done. Made 2 for December Christmas/birthday. Change Santa sled to the name and HB message.will add photo to DS after they been given Thanks for your designs
you are such a genius!!! I love this only I want it to make a nativity one. Santa is cute but i like to stay with the nativity theme.... maybe I can try something ??? LOL!!! right !! TY this is just soooo beautiful I wonder of I have enough time to make one ?? You make it look so easy TY for being s great teacher Louise on this tutorial and you cover every step and show great closeups!!!! ❤💯
Hi Louise! Could you possibly consider designing a set of different “scenes” for inside the ornament? Perhaps one for Easter, Halloween and birthdays, possibly? :-). I can change up the materials used in the construction easily enough for different occasions, but I’m not sure I’m skilled enough yet to design different foldable scenes to match. TIA for your consideration!
Thank you so much Sylvia! I designed this entirely within Cricut Design Space, so you would have to have that software and one of the larger Cricut machines to use this file.
Hello Louise- love all your creations! I am attempting to do the hinged ornament- but I am having issues cutting out the house part. I am using 110 lb paper, I have attempted to cut on intricate-less, 80lb cardstock default- what is your secret for the perfect house cut Please any help would be greatly appreciated
Tgank you for your kind words. I would recommend a lighter weight card stock, on intricate setting, as you have said on a clean mat with a sharp blade. An alternative would be to turn all of the inner cuts into “draw-pen” or “draw-foil” and have those small details added to the base that way.
Thank you so much! If you open the file, I have listed the materials in the description box of the video, and if you are visual like me, I have also used the guide feature in Design Space to outline what materials were used for which parts, in pink, on the Design Canvas. (Basically 80 lb card stock, Glitter card stock, 65 lb card stock, acetate (just a small piece), adhesive foil (you could totally use vinyl, again a small scrap), red line tape and foil kraft board (for the ornament cap). I hope that helps!
Hi Louise, I follow you on Cricut. I went to find this Hinged Ornament to make it and I could not find it. Can you please help guide me. I love your work. Thank You, Cissy McGee
Here is the link to the Project Cissy, just copy the link and paste it in your internet browser. Hopefully that works for you! design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/655ea95f9856ce5613ba586f
Try copying the link and then pasting it in your browser to open it. I would highly recommend opening the file from a computer rather than the mobile app. You can save it on a computer and then open it in the mobile app if you prefer. If you are already on a computer, I would suggest the usual troubleshooting steps, such as clearing your cache or logging in and out of Design Space.
I use either Art Glitter Glue (it contains no glitter, that is just its name) or Bearly Art Precision Craft glue. I like to transfer my glue into small precision tip glue applicator bottles with silicone caps. I can find all three items on Amazon.
This ornament is beautiful!

😍
So beautiful! I was wondering what glue you use?
Such a neat ornament! Where can I find one of those little glue dispensers? Thank you & Merry Christmas!🎄
Thank you so much! I purchase the precision tip glue dispensers on Amazon. I prefer the ones with the silicone caps.
This is gorgeous. Is this only available on Design space, or can I purchase an SVG somewhere?
Love your work. Can we get your svg

@@crafty_lou7 Where do you get your acetate? Is there anything special about size/weight? I've never purchased or used acetate, so I know nothing. :/
So viele Ideen und so wenig Zeit 😅
I only wish I had more time! 🙂. Thank you so much!

For some reason the file will not open in design space.

@@crafty_lou7 thank you. This is huge for me. Good glue if key sometimes
