I couldn't even mourn Marko's departure from the band, because I got back to NW and Tarja shortly before Marko returned to the music scene. I am very happy for him. He looks very happy now. Tarja said that she and Marko have "wild plans" for the future. Another tour awaits them in the fall. About this song, Marko said that it started for his wife and ended up reuniting two old friends, and that it has multiple interpretations. On the tour, they both perform this song as a song about mutual forgiveness and their history, just like in this video. Marko promised Tarja that in return for singing this duet with him, he would join in whatever she asked. Both will be releasing new rock solo albums soon, though neither has announced a date yet Marko released first solo album in 2019, but he's been on the music scene way longer than NW and released a bunch of great albums with his band Tarot. Get well soon. I see now is a great time for us all to take turns losing our voices.

This collaboration made a LOT of people really happy. And clearly it made Tarja and Marko happy too. Plus their voices are just in a perfect harmony. Always have been. I love how much they have chemistry together. You can see it here but on stage it's on another level. In Nightwish they were friends but it was never like this. Now they have cleaned the table and started over😊 The live version of Left on Mars is amazing and I think it's even better than this studio version. Nowadays Marko doesn’t really use the raspy voice... he sings more cleanly (unless he is singing those old NW songs with Tarja).
