#jomezpro #discgolf Why are you still reading this? Get out and play some Disc Golf!
This commentary just continues to get better and better. Nate and Jerm have a great thing going
Gotta agree, excellent commentary crew.
Western NC for the win!
"life putt" 10/10
who you waving at there?
Yeah, love it. Top lads both of them, great duo. They know when to talk "analytical" and when to be two buds chatting about discgolf.
The sweet sound of 2017 Jomez!
4 years later and jomez is still absolutely crushing it. Thank y’all so much
I'm continually impressed by Jomez Productions footage! Thanks for the great videos and keep up the excellent work.
I am consistently impressed with your work. Thank you!
excellent commentary. You guys are pros and it's awesome to hear you talk about the sport you love. Keep up the great work!
Nate and Jeremy have such a great commentary chemistry together.
thanks jomez for the awesome videos! also Big Sexy has to be the best commentary hands down!!
Big Sexy commentary is just the best, laughed out loud multiple times :)

jerm: "who you waving at there?"
Nate:" oh just my fans"
I'm dead 😂😂😂😂😂
Who else went and saw Simon's shot on CCDG coverage just to sit there and rewatch it like 3 times because you couldn't believe what you just saw?
Great shootin Nate at the USDGC! Congrats!
here we go! final round
Great graphics! I love that feet/meter-display, you guys really put up great coverage! I would love to see you guys film DGWT tournaments some day, Konopiste or Nokia.
+StSgry Jomez will be at both this year! See you in two weeks
The best, Jerm: "Who you waving at?" Nate: "Just my fans..."
And it begins!
11:43 "WOOOOOOOOOOOH!" LOL! Jerm cracks me up.
I love how Jerm roots for everyone.
every time guys
Simon's drive on 9 was out of this world. But I assume that technically it was not a 720 foot shot because he cut the corner so hard. In my understanding, the 726 foot length is based off of going straight from the tee and around the corner left. I am curious what the straight line distance was. Not knocking the shot. As I said it was incredible.
why didn't they play Ope Lake DGC for the 2nd round, like they did in the 1st round?
"Most athletic move I've ever seen him make." Bahahahahahahaha
Mr. Sexton, you shall get that beard back! Suits you awesomely.
just grabbed a coke and say down getting ready to watch me a good vid boiz
What was up with the stone placed on Paul's disc?
Cool
lol so every time you guys call the distance of the put before they throw we know they're gonna make it.
Where can I find the Simon's shot they are talking about at around 26:40?
Central Coast Disc Golf has that footage. GBO Round 2 Chase Card.
I absolutely love your videos Jomez Pro, but I'm not liking the red. The aqua green I associate synonymous with Jomez Pro and consider it a signature. Maybe you can create your own custom color and call it Jomez green or something. Other than that I love all your videos and can say that I've watched almost all more than a handful of times.
What was that with the stone on Hole 6?
Another tournament with a canceled 3rd round?
What was the deal with the rock on Pauls disc on 6? Can anyone fill me in?
Im pretty sure Jerm was messin with him and put it there. He mentioned it briefly in the vid
Is that a birthmark or did Paul get a refund for a haircut?
Sean Kelley been waiting on the explanation as well.
Jonathan Gerber I have been hearing he shaved the adidas logo in the back of his head.
Sean Kelley I was about to ask lol. looks like someone fucked his cut up lol
Sean Kelley go to Central Coast Disc Golf channels that's all they talk about the there coverage of Paul 😂
Adidas officially owns him and branded his hair now... Looks a bit silly, but hell, he's Paul freakin' McBeth. What does he care? :D
Woah, I'm early af
Where's the good old Jomez intro? :(
what do you do if a disc gets stuck in a tree? just play under it?
beer and disc at home today damn rain
"Who are you wavin' at?" LOL
Kind of wish they would stop complaining about what should be a par 3 or par 4.
"95 percent of the field got a par 3 on this hole, I really feel like it should be a par 4 though"
"This hole only had 1 birdie but it's too short to be called a par 4"
Seems like one of those 2 statements is said at least once in every single video.
What putter is McBeth using? (Blue one)
Only 2 rounds? I really love watching this course
Biblical Knives rained out
Ian Anderson sighting at 20:43
After the debacle at USDGC forcing the cancellation of what should have been the final round, I'm extremely surprised the PDGA has been so slack on developing a contingency plan if the weather on the final day of a major is bad enough to prevent play. It's an outdoor sport!
Andrew Choate Sorry but how is putting the lives of player AND event staff first a "debacle"?? And what feasible contingency plan is there? A buffer day wouldn't work because even then the weather might still be unplayable. Yes it's an outdoor sport but playing in parks, carrying umbrellas, surrounded by trees and throwing at metal baskets during lightning is just not safe!
Oh it's a debacle because it's a major tournament being decided on two rounds. That's what is called a public relations debacle. I'm not advocating for playing in dangerous conditions, not remotely. I'm pointing out the obvious - this situation and the repetition of it three times is a debacle when trying to grow your sport. I look at the winner's of each of the majors where the final round was cancelled and i see an asterisk next to their name. You may not join me, but I'm not alone. As far as the seeming impossibility of developing a contingency plan, yes, many things probably seem impossible from your perspective
I'm not sure what you mean by "my perspective". I'm a very practical person and consider things from a much wider perspective than most which is why I say I don't think there's a satisfactory why of putting a contingency plan in place currently and I'll list you the reasons why...
Event staff - Almost every event is staffed by volunteers so asking them to add extra days to their commitment might not be possible. If you continue into Monday most people would have work or some other commitment and the same goes for starting early and keeping back Sunday.
Other events - Nick Hyde was the first event this year that had to drop the final round. If you look at the calendar you'll see that NH took place on the first weekend in April. The weekend before was the Open at Temple and the weekend after was Texas State followed the week after that by the Jonesborough Open. If NH had of played into Monday like some people were demanding, players would have gotten to the TS event a day later and less prepared. This again is another area where the sport is so young that even the very top players are driving across country for days rather than just stepping on a plane due to cost.
Cost of extra night/s - Another area where the added cost comes into play. How many of the players do you think can afford to add that extra night of accommodation, flights, car hire etc before they decide to not bother and just hope the event doesn't get extended? Plus what's to say accommodation is even available?
Coverage - Outfits such as Smashboxx, Jomez and CCDG (I assume*) don't do this work for free and the extra days cost would need to come out of the event purse meaning less for the TD's to spend on the actual event.
Location availability - Who's to say the location will still be available for the extra day/s or that if it that it wouldn't again add more cost to the event? I would imagine locations such as the Wild Horse Golf Club used to host the GCC in Vegas had a cost associated.
So yeah there's many reasons why right now it's going to be very hard to find a way to deal with what is essentially a natural phenomenon which can't be fully predicted but let's take a look at the options people have discussed...
Extending the event - Like I've said a few times, weather is unpredictable so how long do you extend the event for before you still have to cancel the last round/s? Also see above :)
Cut fields - First off, where do you cut them so it's fair and secondly, when would you play this cut field if the weather is still unplayable?
Final 9 - *sigh* When would this happen if the weather is still unplayable?
Play a final round later in the year - Ok so this is probably the most feasible off all of suggestions but even this has some major flaws including (but almost certainly not limited to) player travel costs, player availability, player health, event staff availability, location availability and oh yeah... the WEATHER!
So yeah, I'd say that from my perspective, whatever you think that means, any contingency plan would likely p**s off just as many people as is happening currently but please, tell me how you think it should be dealt with.
you're right, it's absolutely impossible. not impossible in golf, just impossible in disc golf
The PDGA isn't responsible for much when it comes to the running on NTs. A contingency plan (like play on Monday) requires unpaid volunteers to take time off work. Those volunteers are often local club members, not members of the PDGA.
7.... it was a 7 flipper on hole 1.
Nate why do you flip your putter before you put
Louis Brownell probably just part of his routine....loosening up so his stroke isn't too stiff
This isn't the final round...I don't think
+James Nash last official round was cancelled, so round 2 ended up being last round
Just like Nate...Im 2nd...haha...good job men
If the powers that be really want to "grow the sport", it would be nice to see some back up plans in case of weather. Two rounds for the GBO is kind of a joke.
Johnnys put at hole 2 was faulty! Should've been a 5, not a 3!
John Krasinski knows disc golf.
Simon parked hole 9? 700 feet?? jebus
I didn't know Johnny Knoxville played disc golf
stanknasty
McBeths hair is ringworm people. why would he shave an off centered backwards Adidas logo that doesn't look close. he just needs to wash his favorite hat is all
I hate seeing Nate putt with the 6 flips hahaha. It just annoys me for no good reason.
R
Love to watch hate to hear Nate Sexton talk about how big he thinks is head is
McCray foot fault #2, glad he missed it...
Christopher Bruning im pretty sure that was legal. His foot wasnt down ( or close enough to not being down for me anyway) before the disc left his hand.
Germ talks too much.
