I have xbox one kinect (the hardware) and connected it to a windows PC. You can get an app "3D scanner" from windows store. Place the object you want to scan on a spinning table. Position the kinect towards the object. Click "start scan" on the software. Rotate the table slowly, to a complete 360° revolution. Click "stop scan". Then it will generate a 3D model for you (plus a little bit of the base/the table surface), as .3mf file.

@@turboterps It's not an Adobe tool, but most CAD software works like this. Free ones are Designspark Mechanical (very easy, it's what the visuals were based on), or Autodesk Fusion (more advanced and complex).

Hi - Does this mean you have to use another programme or can you do Polymodeling in Adobe Dimension?
Hi Robin. I think the video just introduces general techniques about how to create 3D objects. Adobe Dimension is a tool, not a technique.

Blender is a good choice for beginners, as it's free. We also have Medium, if you want to try it it in VR.
