Speaker 1: Today on our 2013 Toyota Sienna, we'll be having a look at and installing the Draw-Tite class 3 max frame trailer hitch receiver, part number 76112.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. Now what's great about this hitch compared to other hitch options on the market, is that the main frame of our hitch is hidden behind our rear fascia. The only part that is visible from behind the vehicle is the receiver opening itself with our safety chain loops on the bottom. This gives us a nice clean and stylish appearance, which makes it look like it's a factory hitch. Our safety chain loops are a rolled steel tubular construction. What's nice about these is that we can clip on at any angle from the back of the hitch, the side, or to the front of it.
Giving us a multitude of options depending on how our ball mount is secured. If we have a pin or a clip or a locking device, we'll be able to easily clip on.On the side of our receiver we have two pin holes. Our larger one closest to the front of the vehicle, that is our industry standard 5/8 of an inch diameter hitch pin hole to secure any of our hitch mounted accessories. Closer to the rear, we have a hole for a J pin stabilization device. What a J pin stabilization device, is take away that annoying shake, play, and rattle out of the device that's inserted into the receiver.
Some bike racks and cargo carriers have anti rattle devices built into them already. But if yours does not, you can pick up a J pin stabilization device on our website to take care of that annoying shake, play, and rattle. On the end of our receiver, we have a collar that is welded on to give us a clean appearance and to help reinforce the end of the receiver to give it some added strength. Now one other nice feature about this hitch that we have, is that we have this bracket that's welded onto the bottom side of it on the driver's side of the receiver opening. And what this is, is this is an attachment point for any wiring we may need for our trailer such as our four pole flat or a seven way RV connectors. We have multiple different wiring options available on line for your Sienna, so just make sure to check out our website. This hitch features a 525 pound max gross tongue weight rating, which is the amount forcing down.
And a 3,500 pound max gross trailer weight rating, which is the amount it can pull. You'll want to consult with the owners manual of your Sienna and not exceed what the vehicle is rated for. This hitch does support the use of weight distribution. However, those numbers stay the same. Now for a few measurements to better assist you in choosing any hitch mounted accessories you may need such as a ball mount, a bike rack, or cargo carrier.
You're looking at about 12 inches from the ground to the top of the receiver opening and about five inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the rearmost part of the back bumper. Now that we've gone over some features, we'll show you how to get it installed.Alright to begin our install, we need to remove this underbody panel here. We'll have eight plastic fasteners like this one and then five hex head also Phillips screws, these are 10 millimeter. I'll start by removing our plastic ones first. The way the plastic ones work is you can use a flathead screwdriver or a trim panel tool, pop out the center section and then the main section will come out as well. Okay now in order to get this down all the way, we have four clips like this where you insert a flathead screwdriver and rotate while you pull down on the panel a little bit and it will eventually release the clip. These are very long threaded plastic nuts, so you have to rotate quite a bit in order to get it to come down. Once we have all four of them off, the panel will come down.On our passenger side of the vehicle where our tail pipe exits. We have a exhaust hanger. We'll spray some lubricant on it. Now we use a pry bar and we'll pry off the hanger. That'll give us some room to maneuver our tail pipe around so we can get our fasteners in easier. Now on our frame rails we have some rubber plugs and we can pull out and some tape we'll just peel off. It's the same on both sides, so once you have one side done just do the same on the other. Now even though our three attachment points on each side we're covered with tape, we still want to take on of our bolts and run through our threads to make sure that the threads are clean and it runs in and out easily. Here's a tech tip for you, the instructions say in order to install this hitch you need to remove the entire fascia in order to gain access to get the hitch into place. However, if you be
