Foam x Polaroid Artist Talk Series: Rhiannon Adam

We have teamed up with Foam Photography Museum in Amsterdam to host a series of artist talks dedicated to unravelling Polaroid's impact on today's social and cultural heritage. The series delves deep into the Polaroid history and the present, exploring how the format continues to contribute to today's art, science, and technology.⁠
Photographic artist Rhiannon Adam hosted the series' first event. For her artist talk, Rhiannon dove into the story of Polaroid founder Edwin Land, the mechanics and history of instant photography and how the format shaped her own practice.
Rhiannon’s instant journey started as an Impossible Project beta film tester before choosing to take on an impossible project of her own, as a crew member for the upcoming Dear Moon Project. As the writer of “Polaroid: The Missing Manual”, few have a better understanding of Polaroid history.

This is a significant video from a great artist, an excellent bit of history, and a great look at what is happening with contemporary Polaroid art.
