- Probably the single most famous piece of music to come from "Touhou Fantasy Land: Lotus Land Story", here is the multi-meme inspiring stage 3 BGM.
Most certainly an excellent piece, and probably the single best track in the game, objectively speaking. Even though my own personal tastes lean towards Scarlet Phoneme, I can more than appreciate this wonderful tune.

The memes only came after the cover which had lyrics performed by Nomico.
Also, as pointed out before, Megalovania is also a meme, besides that, only the intro to piano man was memed, not a part with lyrics, Minecraft music also shows up in memes, Roundabout also only shows up in memes as the intro.

Every time I listen to this, I wonder how old they are( from this picture), because they are about 16 later in the series.
Thousands of years old
Reimu and Marisa are late teens to early twenties as far as I know, though they seem to age in Simpsons fashion, IE they don't seem to get any older as time wears on (bear in mind that the oldest Touhou game is now over 20 years old) and their exact age at any given time in the story is a little bit fluid within certain limits.
All the other characters, as the majority of them (including Elly) are youkai... age is pretty irrelevant, but any random one you might choose is likely to be hundreds or thousands of years old, being the embodiment of an animistic spirit.

It seems like this PC-98 theme isn't as overrated as i thought. This is very good and catchy, and is totally better than the overrated vocal arrange with 76M views, but there are way better themes from the same franchise, like vanishing dream from touhou 3.
