Savannah is my most favorite place to travel, been there many, many times. I loved the video, it reminds me of all the beauty and interesting things to see and do!
Looking forward to your Charleston video. We moved to Charleston 4 years ago, no regrets. Love it, like being on vacation all the time. Hope you enjoy it.
OMG . . I Loooove . . . Looove Savannah :) !!! There is something so warm and magical about it that you can't explain . . not to mention the outstanding food and drinks :) I have stayed at Red Gate twice . . and I'm looking forward to checking out Creekside on my next visit . . The shuttle is worth every penny . . it is best to get the two day ticket . . eat, drink, sightsee LOL! I hope you are staying at James Island Campground in Charleston :) Thank you for the awesome video :) !!!
The first time I went to Savannah, about 30 years ago, the stairs to River Street didn't have the hand rails. I was young then and it was still a little scary going down the steps. Now in my old age, I wouldn't attempt to go down the steps without the handrails. I do love that city.
LMBO!!! Around 21: Jason talking about the haunted house !!😂😂😆👍😆 Such an excellent video you guys!!!! Holy cow! Now I need to check out Savannah !!! 👍😁😎🌷🦋💛😁 Wonderful editing Alisa 👍😉☺️
Also. Next time you’re in Savannah you HAVE to see Bonaventure Cemetery. It’s absolutely beautiful. The old monuments and stones are breathtaking. We did a golf cart tour where the guy told us the history and showed us the oldest monuments in the cemetery. Some dating back to the late 1700s. If you’re a history fan like me you’ll just love it.
So glad that you are enjoying Savannah. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the US. You brought back so many fond memories of living in Savannah when my hubs was stationed at Hunter Army Airfield. We lived on Tybee Beach. The seafood, particularly the crabs were amazing. Safe travels. 🤣💞
Hi Alisa & Jason, Hope you both are doing well. I’ve been to Savannah. Truly beautiful 😍❤️ I’ve done the ghost tours very interesting. Heading over to your new vlog now!
Savannah is our favorite city. It is the Disney of cities for perfection. We go once a year, and we have spent a couple Christmas’s there. There’s an elevator to River St at the Hyatt We like Six Pence Pub! Churchill’s Pub is a go-to every trip
another awesome tour loved it !!!!!! a little scary, best foods, great T shirts, beer , scenery, peach everything. come travel with EECC for the best insight of all places related to fun times an travel .
I spent 3 days in Savannah in 2019 and enjoyed my time for the first 2 days. For me two day would have been plenty. We did a food tour one day that was disappointing. We also spent a lot of time walking around the area and really enjoyed it. There were two cruise ships (American Cruise Lines) docked along the River Walk when we were there. We did have some really good food and the whisk(e)y selections were top notch. One bar has a bunch of scotch on tap, which was cool to see. Husk restaurant was great for fine dining and Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room has the best biscuits I've ever had and that was worth the half hour we waited in line to get into the restaurant.
We went to Tybee Island in February and wanted to do that hop on hop off your but decided not to due to Covid. That street is beautiful!! Now we will have to go back and do the tour!
I'll probably not be able to try much of the food... I'm in the middle of a 100 day Carnivore Challenge so I'm only eating meat, eggs & drinking water... no coffee, no caffeine, no soda... I'm not a drinker either... so yeah...
We were just at Tybee Island and drove in to Savannah for a bit. We were limited on time, so only drove around, so we want to go back! Check out Tybee Island next time! We camped at River’s End campground and really enjoyed it!
Love Savannah and Charleston! When you come to New Mexico, be sure and do so during the annual ballon fiesta (generally the first weekend in Oct) it’s spectacular to see!
Georgia In winter is awesome!!! We went after Christmas 1 year!!! Crinkle fries are awesome!!! I’ve lived in England for a long time and have never heard of a loaded banger. We do call sausages bangers. They are very think normally that phone box looks like our phone boxes looks like. We always end up by the river as well!!!
Woo hoo! Finally after watching you for years we beat you to a spot lol. We stayed at the ranch when Covid first hit and cruises got cancelled. Next time you’re in Savannah you HAVE to check out Two Cracked Eggs cafe on river street. It has the best shrimp and cheese grits you’ll ever taste.
Guys, you need to link to that t-shirt shop…it was awesome. Loved the vid. I have a place in Florida and always wondered why they call the oak trees LIVE OAKS…of course they are alive :)
We here in the St Mary’s,GA may not be as big as Savanna it we got the Spanish moss and chair swings and lots of small town charm. Maybe someday you can visit. Looks like you had an awesome day.
Each has their advantage. Savannah also has a beach whereas New Orleans you would have to drive quite a distance to find one. Food, well, I actually enjoyed Savannah's options more. More to do as far as nightlife in N.O. so it is definitely something that depends on what you are looking to do.
I went here last year in July during the mask mandate. This was one of my favorite places! Brought back so many memories! Paula Dean has a really good seafood restaurant not far from the beach
Jason if you love boiled shrimp. Wait till you get to Maryland not only do you have... To try the steamed crabs, but you need to try the steamed shrimp. It's close to the boiled but ten times better in flavor.
Absolutely no comparison !!!!!! Yes Savanah is beautiful , Me being a foodie , nothing compares to New Orleans Cajun & Creole food. If you want good food & jazz ????? Orleans is the place. HANDS DOWN !!!!!!! Thank -You
The conundrum for Georgia and South Carolina is that SC actually grows more peaches and GA grows more peanuts but they're famous for the opposite. Also, "Just Peachy" means it's a pretty crappy day... Those steps on River Street will get you after a few drinks!!!! Savannah is our favorite town, especially if you like to party! BUY THAT NATIONAL LAMPOONS HOUSE!!! You NEED IT!!!!! Texas Reuben?? We're IN!!!!! If ya'll ever make it back to Savannah, you have to visit Bonaventure Cemetery. Talk about haunted!?! You'll get spirit activity during the day. True Story. Also, you gotta visit The Pirate's House, which is the oldest house on the southeast coast and rumored to be where Black Beard actually died. It harbored all the famous pirates of that time, and then you gotta visit Moon River Brewery, it's one record of being one of the most haunted places in Georgia. Don't know if y'all know but the song, 'Moon River' was written from the inspiration Rosemary Clooney found in Savannah.
I’ve lived in SAV for 21 years and today, just a couple of hours ago, I rode through Red farm grounds for the first time on my way home. Now, I’m headed into work at the Cotton Exchange Tavern where I see you also visited. The Cowboy Ruben is delish! I bet Ivan was your server, or maybe Adam?
Dang I wished I'd known you guys were coming. We live in Savannah!! We would have loved to meet y'all and give you the family tour!! Please let us know when your coming back!! ( Ps My name is Alisa too!!) And my son runs the Savannah Metal Scene so I'm sure Jason would love that.
To answer Jason's question about why it's called Spanish Moss.. it was a term that describes the beards of the Spanish army that the soldiers wore when Savannah was attacked by the Spanish during the Spanish American war.
Actually you're partially right Savannah was not attacked during the Spanish-American war. The Spanish were trying to retake the colony of Savannah and Georgia when it was under British rule. the Spanish moss is not even a moss it's an actual plant more closely related to its cousin the pineapple.
We LOVE stopping at Georgia Peach World. I even have had their goodies shipped to my employees for Christmas gifts. For those that don't know GPW, Interstate I-95, Georgia, Exit 58, 1828 GA-57, Townsend, GA 31331. They have TWO stores at that exit. One on the Northbound side of I-95 and one on the Southbound side. If it is "peach season", you can get some really yummy fresh picked peaches. Jason is right - Peach Everything, and lots of other stuff. We especially like the jellies and jams. We have always had a warm friendly welcome there.
@@EECCTravels If you ever pass by Chambersburg Pennsylvania, we would love to give you a jar of homemade canned peaches that my wife canned this year. We have a lot of fruit orchards here in South Central PA.
A couple of years ago I was able to get a repositioning deal on a rental car - $7 per day. I went Phoenix to Denver plus my stay in Phoenix. I was hoping to do one from Miami to Philadelphia, but COVID hit and who knows how long it will be before car rental specials happen again !
Though there are good restaurants in downtown Savannah. The best ones are the ones off the beaten path. Best shrimp in Savannah is bubba gumbo's. Right on the water going to Tybee.
Nice to see you went into a good ol British pub and had a proper pint of beer! 🍺😂 and enjoyed the Cumberland sausage and mash lunch - we have lots more different flavoured bangers e.g. pork n apple/sweet chilli/caramelised onion etc - best ones are from our local village butchers. Mind you your US meat and produce is far superior to ours! Love your vlogs on your many travels x
Having been to Savannah many times. You have to have your ID with you if you plan on drinking alcohol. It's a town ordinance to be carded no matter how old you are. Sometimes you get lucky.
Being from the UK British pubs around the world make me laugh (I'm sure our versions of 'foreign' restaurants are just as funny to people from those countries!). I assume that's their version of bangers and mash. We don't tend to call things loaded unless we're imitating American dishes. Looks great though - wouldn't mind trying it!!
Savannah is my most favorite place to travel, been there many, many times. I loved the video, it reminds me of all the beauty and interesting things to see and do!

Savannah is one of our favorite quick trip
Locations from Charleston! Y’all did a great job capturing its ambience!! 😊

Thanks for the great tour. Really nice video. Thanks and take care. Cheers!!
Savannah is awesome! I've been everywhere yall went to. You really need more time to really take it all in, especially if you're into history.
Oh we will most definitely be going back!
Soo excited watching this! This is on my bucket list.
I love this city so much. River Street is one of my favorites. Love the savannah candy kitchen. I need to get back here.

I love Savannah! My daughters wedding was in Forsyth Park by the fountain. Gorgeous!

We toured Savannah in 2004. Loved it. We did the tour also but we ate at Paula Deens restaurant. Delicious. Loved reliving the tour. God bless.

Indian FTR is a rocket! Better have a good hold of the handlebars when you throttle-on the 120HP.
Very interesting. Great start to your road trip,
I think we are spending a couple days in Savannah next month! I'm excited, I've never been before!

I’m from Ga about 45 minutes from Savannah!!!
What a great tour! So excited to follow along on your road trip,

Cool y'all. I live between there and Bartow Fl..
Great video!
I only been to Savanah once andI loved it being from Baton Rouge,I've been to New Orleans 1 million times and love New Orleans everytime
Each has their advantage. Savannah also has a beach whereas New Orleans you would have to drive quite a distance to find one. Food, well, I actually enjoyed Savannah's options more. More to do as far as nightlife in N.O. so it is definitely something that depends on what you are looking to do.
😂@ Jason...cut carbs where you can..then orders full draft by the quart.
We spent a week in Savannah this past May. Loved the whole trip, food and sights. Y'all need to eat the Trayler Park.
I went here last year in July during the mask mandate. This was one of my favorite places! Brought back so many memories! Paula Dean has a really good seafood restaurant not far from the beach
The skeleton waiting at the trolley stop made me laugh way harder than it should have
We toured the Sorrel-weed house. We recorded it and when we played it back, there was piano music which we didn’t hear when we were touring..
Oh that is too cool!
I have been New Orleans loved it but now I want to make it to Savannah!!!!
You do know, Prickly Pear is a Cactus with the flavor of melon. It has nothing to do with pear except the shape. Nice video.
Ok, good to know!
Jason if you love boiled shrimp. Wait till you get to Maryland not only do you have... To try the steamed crabs, but you need to try the steamed shrimp. It's close to the boiled but ten times better in flavor.
There is actually an elevator you can take down to the riverfront instead of those steep stairs! It's not easy to spot if you've never been!
Cotton exchange is one of our favorites!
Absolutely no comparison !!!!!! Yes Savanah is beautiful , Me being a foodie , nothing compares to New Orleans Cajun & Creole food. If you want good food & jazz ????? Orleans is the place. HANDS DOWN !!!!!!! Thank -You
Oh we are from Louisiana, so NOLA gets our vote too! But we did love Savannah!
We like both cities but Savannah is #1 for us and really have a great time in Savannah over New Orleans

Red Gate Farms has amazing horse trail rides.

Must make a stop in Newport, RI!
Fabulous food, colonial history & architecture and unbelievable mansions along Bellevue Ave.
Love Savannah! We were just there in March!
You must stop in Charleston, Savannah's sister city. My hometown which is the best city in the nation for several years on Conde Naste.

That’s one of the nicest rv parks I’ve ever seen!
It really was beautiful!
I'm planning to go there in a couple weeks. Giving me some ideas!
