      I don't know why so many Canadians love General Isaac Brock so much. Brock hated being in Canada. He wanted to be home in England shagging the sheep. I don't know, maybe it's an eastern thing. We westerners couldn't possibly care any less about Brock.

    Canadian here, the symbolism of the flag is 100% wrong. White and red are traditional colours of France and England, respectively. Canada was never "neutral". Until the Statute of Westminster in 1936, Canada was automatically at war with whomever UK was at war.

    • @daveroberts936
      @daveroberts936 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Its precisely for that reason why Canada waited several days to declare war against Hitler, following Britain's declaration. It was symbolic of Canada's political independence from England.

      @@daveroberts936 Canada declared war after a U-boat sank the SS Athena. Parliament was in recess though and they had to wait for the members to return to Ottawa to vote on a war motion.

    The Geography guy made so many mistakes that I don't know where to start but besides spelling our capital incorrectly, it's "Ottawa", he said Newfoundland was part of the Maritime provinces when it is not. Newfoundland is considered an Atlantic province and it even has its own time zone. Canada's population as of 2020 = 37,742,154. Canada is the largest English speaking country in the world and the Largest French speaking country in the world. The CN tower in Toronto is the highest building (Structure) in the Western hemisphere, it was the tallest in the world for about 20 years. Canada has a diverse climate ranging from a warm climate in Coastal BC where the growing zone is 9a similar to Northern Florida's growing zones, Palm trees grow in both Vancouver and Victoria, Cities in Southern Ontario such as Toronto, Hamilton and London have relatively short mild winters and very long hot humid summers as they are as far South as central Italy with Windsor Ontario being as far South as Rome Italy. Canada is also the most educated country on Earth with over 56% of the population having at least a university degree.

    Riddled with sloppy errors!
    "New Finland?" Newfoundland!
    "Ottowa?" Ottawa!
    "Canada neutral." WTF.
    12:30 "Canadians and Americans have been there for each other since Day 1"? Except when the Americans tried and failed to take over colonial Canada during the War of 1812, burning Toronto to the bloody ground in the process! And in 1867, when the nation of Canada was founded tiny Ottawa was chosen as its capital due to its relative remoteness from the border - because the possibility of another American invasion was still very real. Early Canadians feared and distrusted their American neighbours like today's Latvians, Estonians and Lithuanians fear and distrust Russia.

    Nestle bottled water come from a wells around Guelph, Ontario
    His pronunciation of " Newfoundland " ( Newfinlind ugh! ) would get him thrown into St.John's harbour.
    Canada being the 2nd largest country in the world is no big deal. Canada, China, Brazil, and the USA are all pretty close in size. Changing a criteria or two will change the order. Canada is the 2nd in total area but 4th ( behind China and the US ) in land area thanks to those 3million or so lakes

    I don't think he quite got the flag right and hard to call Canada neutral when Canada was in WW1, WW2, the Korean War and Afghanistan (tho we took a pass on Vietnam and Iraq), but I guess we do try to lead the way in peacekeeping, one of our Prime Ministers won the Nobel Prize for trying to keep the peace. @@9284vr The term "the Maritimes" was coined before Newfoundland and Labrador joined Canada in 1949. When they did, the Newfoundland Premier felt it was premature for them to become part of the Maritimes and thus conceived the term "Atlantic Canada". This just sort of stuck.

    Some other interesting facts about Canada : our entire population(36 mill) is less than the black population of the U.S.(42 mill).Canada's $10 note features a black woman Viola Desmond. Amber Valley is a community of blacks from the United States who settled the province of Alberta as Homesteaders.Other communities in Alberta settled by black American homesteaders are Junkins, Keystone, Campsie. They were mostly from Oklahoma. So do us a favor. Black Americans invade Canada ! We need ya !

    • @PerishingPurplePulsar

      @Trevon Womack Not entirety, we have proven we are a pain in the ass to fight, and the only major war fought on our soil was a stalemate, and we burned the whitehouse down during it so I'd say we can defend ourselves. And if anything it is the combined power of many nations that would step in from the UN if we were invaded. As a matter of fact, I don't actually think the US has made any action to prevent others attempting to invade us.

      @@9284vr We have felt like this for a very, very long time. Trump was just a cherry on top, but Canada always has and always will hold an inner hatred for the U.S. It's not like we don't understand that the U.S. is a large part of our economy(Especially as an Albertan, you can thank me for a decent portion of your Gas/Oil) but ever since 1812 we have felt like you ride a very high, very imaginary horse. I can't speak for all Canadians, just like you can't speak for all of America, but I'll let you in on a secret. We know it's better quality of life up here, and no matter how much yall wave your big sticks, threaten to invade us like it wouldn't end in U.N. intervention, or make fun of us for being weird, atleast we have the ability to get hospital care without getting into crippling debt, weed is legal across the country and our divorce rate isn't over 50%. No matter what, you will never shake the label of being Canadas big brother, the one who got in a bunch of fights, has been to Jail, has a weird obsession with guns and gets so angry sometimes they forget to not commit genocide.

    • @kayleekirkpatrick9193
      @kayleekirkpatrick9193 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Trevon Womack not really. In WW2 we were the U.K’s most important ally. We fought hard in that war while you American’s didn’t even join the fight of the war until the Japanese bombed the base at Pearl Harbor. Another thing is that most Canadian’s remember all 50+ states while most Americans can’t even remember the 10 provinces and 3 territories. Might i add that America almost started WW3 while Canada hasn’t even started any war.
