I really am over analyzing this, but mini movies like this really just aren’t any good. This, at the end of the day, is just ick, and kids are gonna watch this and think it’s ok. (Mainly younger ones) It’s a serious topic that really isn’t taken as seriously as it should be. I’ll say this, Clyde needs to go to prison, his buddies need to go to prison, Angel needs therapy, romance like this doesn’t work, etc.

I get it and I agree that this is definitely not the most kid-friendly post out there and probably should be labeled as such. However, you can't deny that Clyde needed to keep her around after he found out she had a family. He didn't want to be turned in by the police. There's no morality to what he did, and he had done worse before. When his friend asked him to kidnap her, he wouldn't have called the cops because 1. He obviously had some unhealthy dependence on his friends because of his messed-up family/background/history and because of that, he wanted to do whatever he could to help them because it was in the name of "true love" 2. If he thought she was some homeless orphan with nothing to lose, he probably thought he was doing something nice, even though the actions should not be condoned. 3. Considering his long list of crimes in the past, do you think he'd want to be involved with the police AT ALL??
The protagonist is definitely the only victim here, but Clyde only "claimed her as his own" AFTER the feelings were established, making the scene cheesy/romantic/jealous rather than assault. And yes, what he did was wrong. Everyone was wrong except the protagonist. But he definitely could have been developed to be a much bigger dirtbag of a character, so you should consider that before calling him an unlikeable asshole.
This isn't healthy love. I agree. And this should not be taught to children as an example of true love. Hence why in the beginning I stated that this should be labeled as mature.
However, please also remember that when the girl had LITERALLY JUST BEEN KIDNAPPED, the first thing she did was GAWK at her kidnapper's looks. I'm just saying-- the whole story has so many holes that to only point out the lack of morality or incorrect definition of love is a faulty argument in itself. Because the story is just too simple for such analysis. It's just a simple, underdeveloped storyline.
And yes, the basis was "We need them to be together to fall in love". I don't deny that.
Throughout, the whole story was just a concoction of cheesiness, mixed with a bit of Stockholm syndrome, and a whole lot of gacha logic. So none of the characters should be analyzed morally, because the whole thing is full of errors.
Nothing that anyone did should be condoned. The protagonist was the victim. This is not a healthy example of love. That's all you need to know, and for those reasons, you don't need to like the video or subscribe. But there is no reason to rage war in the comments or attack the creator.
And no, when I say that, I'm not saying "If you don't like it, don't watch."
This is all I'm saying:
I agree with you from a moral standpoint, but nothing about this video is created from a moral standpoint, so our views and opinions cannot validly analyze the video. Hostility will not remove the video or make the characters more rounded. Enjoy it for what it is, in all of it's gacha-logic glory.
Beyond the thought process of "He should be in jail for what he did", the creator did a nice job telling a story. In no way am I being negative towards the creator with these points. I only say them because it's a fact that the story is all meant to be viewed with a shrug of the shoulders and any holes in character development should just be chalked up to gacha-logic.
I do not condone the characters' actions. I do not justify them. I defend the creator because your argument has some counterpoints that should be addressed before you go all hostile in the comments, friend.
But beyond all that, I don't disagree with you. Just saying-- don't read too much into it, because then other people will also read too much into YOUR ARGUMENT, and there are too many holes in both the story AND your argument. If you're right, then that means that the whole story was about one dumb, bad character. But if they're all just underdeveloped and it's not supposed to go this deep, then that means none of it matters. So if none of it matters, don't be mean. Just watch the story for the cringey, logic-out-the-window plot that it is and leave the creator alone if you don't like it.
The only fault I find in the creator is not labeling this video as mature and holding themes of kidnapping. But pretty much anybody can figure out that it does just by looking at the title. Soooooo yeah.
And also, while this is obviously not a healthy version of love because their meet-cute was a literal KIDNAPPING, everyone has their own definition of what love truly means to them. If someone told you that they loved you, you can't be sure that they mean it, at least, not 100% in the same way you do. So if you don't like this creator poorly defining what you consider love, then don't throw your definition out there either. Cause it's all on a case-by-case basis of what it means to YOU.
Just be nice, friend. No need to get so personal when you don't like something. Give constructive criticism at least, don't just say that it's horrible and that the creator doesn't understand love. I get it, the love interest was a bad guy and that was not quite addressed. But the title of the video itself kind of disclaimed the crime. So why are you so surprised that you need to go off? Hurtful words don't change things.
And again, I am not disagreeing with you. Just saying there's no need to be mean.
