Smoky Quartz is my favorite gemstone! It’s the national stone of Scotland, sacred to the Gaels and Druids, associated with the gods and goddesses of Earth most especially Hekate. It’s a very grounding, clearing, and protective stone. It helps clear and process trauma. Widows often wore it in their mourning jewelry. Considering the tragic history of Scotland, it makes sense that this would be their stone. I wear smoky quartz every day, it helps ground and shield me from the massive amounts of trauma I come in contact with as a 911 Dispatcher. I often use it as a warding stone at my home too.

I used to go dig these smoky & phantom quartz up, (amethyst, tourmaline & crystal or gold encrusted fossils, too) illegally on white sands missile range land - up in the Organ mountains in NM. I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU, ANDY (CRYSTAL USES) Amethyst, Smoky quartz, and clear quartz are all quartz pieces (obviously), but the colors are created based on the earth’s temperature when they formed. All quartz crystals are probably the easiest crystals, in my opinion, to be “programmed” for specific purposes. That being said, clear quartz is like a power house. Master healers! Amethyst is just all-around awesome for healing and protection. Smoky is grounding and protective. Clear quartz is super cool bc it will cleanse and charge your other crystals, and amplify properties of crystals. Andie. This is so crazy. Like, so so crazy. I have been really sad and “bleh” lately because this has been the hardest year of my life & now I’m just kind of in the numb phase. Yes. Someone w/ disordered thinking felt like family, and he was so carelessly apologetic about my time and effort. I am thankful for distancing myself, but I'm so annoyed that I keep getting caught back up with him and/or just being attached to him by sending messages to his blocked number, or going to the local trail. I am finding out that it will take time to break this attachment, or "umbilical residue" (as in TOOL - Lateralus) of the Duel Mothership model for codependent relationships. I don't feel strong. People tell me I'm strong. I still know I have to protect myself and get closer to source. I don't see bravery or strength, but I'm still trying to move forward. I feel supported, but I can't understand how things could really be ok. I'm trying. I am grateful because if he had acted any less terrible, I wouldn't have left, my light would've been stomped out. I am still trying to get him to wake up and be someone worth saving. I hope he does.

I used to go dig these smoky & phantom quartz up, (amethyst, tourmaline & crystal or gold encrusted fossils, too) illegally on white sands missile range land - up in the Organ mountains in NM. It was great rock hounding up there, but as the place we frequented was mostly sand at its lowest point, rattlesnakes, vinegaroons & scorpions - we definitely paid for that hike. You’d just start digging and come across clusters in holes. No rhyme, no reason.

Amethyst, Smoky quartz, and clear quartz are all quartz pieces (obviously), but the colors are created based on the earth’s temperature when they formed. All quartz crystals are probably the easiest crystals, in my opinion, to be “programmed” for specific purposes. That being said, clear quartz is like a power house. It can provide energy and, as you said, a clear channel to angels, God, those who have passed on, etc. It’s a really good piece to hold when you’re doing a reading because it opens the third eye and crown chakra, so kudos for doing that. Master healers! Amethyst is just all-around awesome for healing and protection. Smoky is grounding and protective. Clear quartz is super cool bc it will cleanse and charge your other crystals, and amplify properties of crystals. Andie. This is so crazy. Like, so so crazy. I have been really sad and “bleh” lately because this has been the hardest year of my life & now I’m just kind of in the numb phase. Yes. Someone w/ disordered thinking felt like family, and he was so carelessly apologetic about my time and effort. I am thankful for distancing myself, but I'm so annoyed that I keep getting caught back up with him and/or just being attached to him by sending messages to his blocked number, or going to the local trail. I am finding out that it will take time to break this attachment, or "umbilical residue" (as in TOOL - Lateralus) of the Duel Mothership model for codependent relationships.

I think these references to "small" creatures is just so cute Andy...you have no idea how heart warming it is to share space with you as you depict these metaphors...I can almost see myself reaching out to you in spirit and aligning to your vision as you perceive it in order to expand upon it and see it flourish as our lenses come full circle...or more like 2circles which would make more like a figure 8...but these too can be metaphors...its such a beautiful sight...as always you completely mesmerize me with your beautiful energy...thank you...I'm so grateful with having had the chance at crossing paths with such a benevolent soul; truly you are one of a kind...I don't think I could ever convey just how special you are even if I had Mercury itself supporting me I could never put the brilliance of your being into words...
