As an ametuer player I personally like this variant of pool, but I wish the cueball making contact with a cushion before hitting object ball would also count as legal. I realise perhaps to more professional players that may make things to easy, but I find snookering alot more difficult now. I've always been in support of the rule that ball must hit a cushion, but personally I prefer to play before or after contact with object.
Say the white goes in off the break I understand it's a free table if I pot a ball with my first shot after the foul does it always still remain an open table?

If it's touching ball and the touching ball isn't one of your colour do you still have to hit one of your colour or can you just hit a cushion with the cue ball?
What happens if you have two shots and 8ball is frozen to a red on corner pocket with 8 ball clung to the pocket and the object ball is ths 8 ball... Is the frame null and void?
Hi. May you help m on this one, the definition of a legal shot says on must cause the cue ball's initial contact to be with an "on" ball, does it mean it must not contact the cushion first before you hit your on ball or you can have the liberty of hitting it via the cushion even if not snookered?
As long as he hits his own ball first and his ball is also potted at any point during the shot, if the black also goes in and he has none of his own balls left on the table in Blackball rules he wins the frame.
@H.M. I take it you play 8ball. Let me ask you a question. Say if a huge company come out of nowhere and sponsored the IPA tour £1m a year. But they said you have to add them 2 rules to the blackball rules to get that sponsorship. Your say no if you were kev Barton.
That has explained alot to me. The pool league I play in as just recently changed to blackball rules

Does it doesn’t count if just the cue ball hits a cushion on a shot where you don’t pot? Has to be the colour?

They all get replaced and same player starts again
Hey mate just wondering if you can explain the loss of frame for a deliberate foul rule?
If a player plays a deliberate foul he/she loses the game, though if the player hits his/her own ball first a deliberate foul can't be called.
you have to clearly make an attempt at your own ball/s
What if after a foul you have 2 carry shots and you use the first try to get the lead balls? do you still have two shots or do you lose one?

Those are just dumb rules and of the reasons why black ball rules are the best
