Good morning friends!🌺 I hope you have had the best weekend! I know you guys are ready for spring so I thought I would share some spring decorating inspiration today. I hope you enjoy the video and find the tips useful! When will you start to decorate for spring?
I usually start opening my mind to it the Saturday before Easter. It starts early morning, gathering all the food and goodies for Easter meals, then getting my Easter Basket blessed, freshly painted eggs, finding the Big wicker handled basket with white linens lining. Hauling it all to the Church. The little community of Polish and Lithuanians that gather is so much fun. We all snoop in each other's baskets, I usually hand out bunches of Tulips, some people share homemade jams. It is always so sweet the little Baskets for the Priest. Easter Morning is always so special.
I think now I can see Spring on the Horizon, Lemon and Blueberries, who would have thought that would put the Hippety Hop in my Step. Next week Lent starts for Catholic's so we have a bit of a fasting period but I am making many notes for Easter. I have a feeling Lemon and Blueberries will be on the menu. Thank you for reminding us Spring and renewal are nearby. You can get caught up in the 6 feet of snow, the solitude and quiet, but you opened the window to Spring on the Horizon...and the possibilities....such a sweet vlog today

We survived, they gave us about a 3 day warning, so I stocked the kitchen. I got a ton of Lemons, so maybe muffins for Fat Tuesday. I got a bunch of Musicals. My Husband loves them since his stroke, it can't always under words but he loves the moment of music and dance, he just smiles and his eyes are wide. I think he is going to love your vlogs with just music. FYI he loves a walk outside

Morning Zakiyya, what a delightful "fresh" spring themed video. We will shortly be getting ready for our autumn season, which a beautiful time of the year as well. Much reflection!! I also love flowers in the kitchen, it just does something special, I always think better on the dining table, but no, here we can enjoy them more. The pieces you bought at the thrift store is used so nicely. The vase has become my favourite item as well, plus the small dark jug, it blends excellent with the fresh lemons. I bought long time ago two greeting cards and framed them, they are stunning, have never got bored with them. I think it's the quality frame I used and nobody is any wiser. Something nice to enjoy at way below budget price. The white cookware is always stunning on the stove, with the gas cooker it has more solid metal than my ceramic stove top. That is just for easy cleaning!! My kitchen curtains are also just 2/3 length, so much light and air comes into the room and it is so refreshing in summer. Love the texture of the kitchen cloths, and the white is just such a treat to work with. Well done, enjoy and those muffins oh boy, they looks super tasty. Kind regards 💐

Thank you Jacqueline!🌺 Go for the white kitchen! We cook A LOT and I a have a ten year old and a teenager cooking on a daily basis. The only issue we have sometime is that we use a lot of turmeric which can stain the countertops, but, I found that I can use soft scrub gel with bleach to get it out. It doesn't have any of the abrasive scrubby stuff that might scratch the counters. And just be sure to get a washable paint. The cabinets are Grecian Ivory by sherwin williams and it's like a light, beige-y, taupe color so it hides "dirt" a little better than white cabinets would. The kitchen still reads as a white kitchen even with the colored cabinets. Lol, I'm rambling, but, hopefully it helped😊
