Dear Mandarfineart - We are happy that you enjoyed it! Thank you very much for watching and for writing to us! Yes you can use this techniques with acrylics, and can use different mediums with the acrylics to change part of the flowing aspect. All the best, Connie and David
YES! oils are safer than acrylics, so many times l hear people say that they have changed from oils to acrylics because acrylics are safer, or that they use acrylics rather than oils because they are less toxic. Acrylic’s are manufactured in a lab oils come from the earth or stones/ minerals etc. Thank you for clarifying that. 🙏🏻
Thank you, jakarta - We are happy that you enjoyed it! Thank you very much for watching and for writing to us! It means so much to us to hear from you . Thank you for sharing more information about oils and acrylics. All the best, Connie and David
Hello! Thank you so much for share this. I was wondering if you will make a video about John singer Sargent's style, I think that you can give a good explanation about his techniques 🤓✨ Greetings from chile❤
Hi, Francisca! Thank you so much. We are delighted you enjoyed it. We have posted a video of Sargent's watercolor techniques in our program on TH-cam: John Singer Sargent’s Venice from Landscapes Through Time with David Dunlop (Program 203. )Kind regards, David and Connie
Hi David. I always love your videos and your paintings are phenomenal. When you use oil in the bottom layer as in a block in, doesn't that create problems later in the painting when you add paint on top because of fat over lean? It seems like you are doing fat over fat. I can see if the bottom layer is dry it wouldn't matter. But if you're working Alla prima would that cause problems? Thanks 🙏
