I’ve started collecting third party transformers about a year and a half ago and I never thought I’d be interested in a non transforming figure but then I saw this thing and I just couldn’t resist
Build it a few months back, watching your build reminds me the pain on my thumbs and index fingers putting the parts together. They fit crazy thight but the end result is worth it.

I just keep watching this. The kit was next on my to do list, but my cousin bought me a pg for Christmas and I always prioritize gifts. I'll get to Optimus eventually, but until then I'll just keep coming back to this. It really does take me back to my childhood. I dont care for gunpla lore, but I grew up playing with transformers, lost my mind when I saw them in theaters, and consider myself a fan. Well done man.
So my wife bought me the kit for my birthday yesterday and it looks amazing. I will be 100 honest as I have never built anything so complex and as much as I love to add the details you have done, I don’t have that much discipline. I like to take my time with it though. As I can tell by the video, it will be with it when I am done and it will look amazing next to my Macross Valkyrie or my 80s dream team.. thanks for sharing your experience on the build.

For those that feel a transformer has to transform, I say this, I have the IDW Prime model kit released years ago, and no, it doesn't transform. Just the fact that this kit looks amazing, like Prime does, and has articulation is good enough for me
I would have to disagree. I was going more for the color scheme in the Transformers movie. Secondly you don't see the Matrix of leadership in the Bumblebee movie so you have full artistic freedom on how you want to paint It😊

I was tempted to runner paint him given all the under gates but REALLY wasn't sure how the fit would go. The precision of the plastic in this thing rivals the best of Bandai. What were you using to hold him in action poses at the end? One again just incredible work!

Also going to add, excellent video and I've loved all the ones I've watched so far. Was a big inspiration for getting this kit (my first Gunpla kit in fact). Looking forward to losing many an evening over the next 12 months painting and building Prime.
Number 1 inspiration and builder on TH-cam at the moment! thank you for this production. One question, after painting the parts, do you also spray a clean coat on it or just leave it as is? I had problems with paint chipping when not using a clear coat before putting a model together.

Just got the kit, I have metallic steel and silver Mr hobby spray paint laying around. Wanted to spice up up the black and grey unpainted components but I only want to spray them straight on the runners. Any ideas on which unpainted runners I should use those on?

But to answer your question the only time you would really need to do paneling would be around Optimus Prime's mouth and around the inner parts of the inner frame. But if that isn't your cup of tea you can always do a dry wash.
Just a heads up: I recently got the non scale Tekkaman Blade Evil figure and it didn't come with it's instruction manual. Hopefully it was just my kit that had this error but I'm letting fellow builders know just in case.
I know I'm two weeks late on this but there is a bit of an audio cut when you're finishing the matrix I don't know if it's someone's already brought this up but yeah when it looks like when you're trying to talk when you're doing your hand thing the audio cuts
What makes studioG paint " premium" ? What ingredients does it have that makes it so much more expensive?. Cause ive tested allot of paint brands living in both asia and europe. Or is it just creating a hype for average good paint that justify the price?
