About the "wow/wah" thing she's doing:
It's common among Hindustani Classical Music (India & Pakistan) listeners. The listeners who even have some understanding of music can tell where the singer pulls off an intricate melody/note or does something amazing with their voice. It's an immediate appreciation for the singers.
You might be right . But in this case that "wah" is straight up over"the top"acting , credits @ Miss Kakkar .

@@trishnaganguly5125 Well yeah, Neha Kakkar is kinda weird but that also was a freaking fantastic audition from Salman Ali.
Aishik Ashraf Runa Laila is Bengali (Ethnically) and we have had other singers on par with Pakistani and Indian singers. Shenaz Rahmatulliah was a very renowned singer in Pakistan. She actually recorded one of their most patriotic songs Jeeye Jeeye Pakistan. Also Sabina Yasmin may not be a name in Pakistan or India - but in terms of capability, she is good as any in the subcontinent.
Anyway the comment wasn’t about how good/bad singers are. It was about the wow/wah comment. Bangladeshi artists/public also say “wah” when they hear a complicated melody or vocal note being pulled off by a singer.

He had to leave his home as a kid to pursue formal music training. This was his first audition and he did win this season of Indian Idol and is a great singer with such a mature voice for his age.
8:55 he's singing those line that supposed to be sung by several vocals in the original song, the male singer, the female singer, and the backup singers.
Without proper classical vocal training, singing like this cannot be achieve.. Salman is awesome!

It is called Jugalbandi in India - musical "fight" between two singers or instrumentalists. But the jugalbandi Salman Ali vs. Sunny Hindustani is much more better, it is unbelievable.

I am in a hospital for surprisingly being sick which happens hardly, however my time is being well spent looking at your reactions which I find as absolute joy, the Gamaka video was really nice when both of you were trying to sing like the lady on that video. Guys if you want to hear Sufi songs with a high pitch I would recommend you Kailash kher - Saiyaan or Teri deewani. A very appreciated vocalist. Please don't react to live, react to his original album or audio. The song salman sang was a Sufi song. You should definitely checkout out Kailash kher.....

Actually these singers are from north western part of India also Pakistan and they have long history of singing (like centuries)bcz they train since their childhood in classical Indian music they can sing in 5th octave quite easily we call th m Sufi singers
