My hometown. I can stil remember its heyday. Buying clothes at Fargo, watching movies at Globe, Times, Boulevard, Life, Main and of course eating burgers at Boulevard, Lumpia Sariwa at Globe, Mami and siopao at Ma Mon Luk. Sigh! The Good Ole Days. Proud to be a Batang Quiapo for Life.
can relate. we used to have merienda at that small panciteria at the corner of paterno and evangelista after hearing the morning mass on either fridays or sundays. then stroll along avenida for a quick window shopping.
Thanks for another historical vlog you've shared...sana mapanood ito ng mga kabataan at i treasure nila ang laman ng iyong content. Nice job and God Bless!

Watching movies sa Times theater. Wow good old days. Siyempre ingat sa mga holdapers at snatchers. Thank you again. 1974 ay nag migrate na ako sa USA. never been back sa Quezon Blvd.
Thank you for another informative and very interesting vlog! It brings memories of those good old days to see old theater buildings still standing and the surroundings of Manila. I give 👍👍!

Very admirable! All that work is very hard but rewarding for sure to give back to history enthusiast like us. You should set up an account where people can actually support you , donate money so it will help you continue/ maintain in bringing on more sensible videos like this .@@kaTH-camro

A for effort! 1. Quality and presentation ng video. Hindi shaky, with drone shots pa. Music, and voice mix is very good. 2. Research of history. Detailed and roots pa from spanish era 3. Ang layo ng nilakad! 4. Getting valuable architectural details, sinama rin yung arc ng entrance ng times theater for that matter. 5. And also, risk ng paglalakad sa Quezon bridge to Quiapo, kahit sinasabi na marami masasamang loob sa paligid.
My so called hood for years when I was studying in FEATI in the mid '90s at nag bo-board sa may Lerma. Nakapanood din ako ng movie dyan sa may TIMES when it was still operational. Before COVID madalas pa rin ako sa part na yan, buying materials for my business in Pampanga. Thank you for walking us down this memory lane Mr. Fern. Hoping to see the streets around Quiapo. Magastos at delikado pa.

Nandyan ako noong 12 years ago, in fairness, medyo mas malinis ngayon. Noongs mid 80s napakahirap lumakad diyan at napakarumi. Maraming salamat Fern.❤
I haven't been in the philippines for 16 yrs. I was a graduate in FEU electrical engineering. I am so glad I can see Manila in you tube. God Bless on your website
Thank you for this video, Fern. Just to contribute, growing up in the 60's and 70's, there used to be a big and luxurious theater at the corner of Quezon Blvd. and C.M. Recto (Azcarraga) The Roman Super Cinerama. There used to be a small food store at the corner of Raon and Q Blvd. that sells delicious " Lumpiang Sariwa ". There used to be a nice optical store in Raon called Ideal Optical where I bought my first contact lens in 1976. They are all gone, and the whole place looked so drab, dirty, and unkempt. I miss how things used to be.
Thank you Ka Yutubero. Its good reminiscing the past where it became part of my daily life during the 70's where I always passed Quezon Blvd every day going to school and going home.
Good job giving back to remember the past during my College Days of 1965 TILL 1974 as REMEMBER A LOT OF MARTIAL ARTS SCHOOLS here in Quezon Blvd. Quiapo kindly research if they are existing also includes Central Market. I will appreciate to include them in your next issue. Thanks aloy
I remembered my younger days sa Arlegui st, cor Conception Aguila st, nakatira at studied in MLQ high School kaya hindi makalimutan yang lugar n yan nakaka miss lang talaga more than 30 years ago na hindi n ako nakapasyal sa Quiapo, thank you Fern keep up the good work.
Grabe ganyan pala itsura diyan. During my time di ko pansin lahat ng iyan dahil sa dami ng tao at vendors at saka di mo mapansin yung mga buildings dahil busy kang tumingin sa kalsada para di ka malubog sa putik at basura. Thank you Yorme at nalinis mo siya.
@@kaTH-camro totoo po yan. one can't simply describe the busyness of the quiapo area at night. can't compare though how things are nowadays unlike before the start of the pandemic when quiapo practically never sleeps. foot and transpo traffic decrease as it gets late but the 4-10 pm in the area is like being in a war. sa dami ng tao, open na sidewalk businesses at heavy flow ng traffic. dagsa talaga ng tao from workers to students. really thank you for giving us glimpses of the old manila and showing the current condition of the still recognizable spots. i just can't help but feel 'sayang' on the country's treasure that we eventually forgot to value. sana kahit papaano magka-effort ang developers to preserve things that can be integrated to the redevelopment and update of old structure just like what you showed sa ginagawa sa villonco building. btw, yun din ang ginawa sa tutuban center center when they developed it into a shopping arcade (although much underappreciated ng karamihan...). salamat muli sa mga videos.
Salamat sa video, it bring back memories, Doon sa Globe theater madalas akong kumakain ng lumpiyang sariwa, mura pa noon 3 pesos yata noon around 1968 - 1975.
