"we do not get everything we want in life" that is the lesson for the day
You obviously dont know the secrets of life. You can get everything you want in life. You just gotta go out and get it. Your comment shows me you are a unsuccessful sad person. God bless.
No, the real lesson is that you should respect kids and make their day instead of being a selfish prick
The kid is 3. He'd forget about it in 5 minutes
*****
What else do you expect from a couple of liberal parents who can't be bothered to discipline their own child and just lets him scream like that.
The only reason a 3 year old screams like that is because he or she is used to the parents tolerating it and probably even rewarding it by giving in.
+Kinsella Finn IKR. Without the video, he would never have remembered even being at the game. lol.
This is horseshit. It's not like Moreland was tossing the ball a few feet to a specific kid. He threw it way up there and it rolled around on the ground.
they said they didnt notice a crying kid behind them who the woman faced for a picture
ok
It is kinda a good thing they took it... Gotta teach the kid can't have everything...
So the lesson here is throw a tantrum and you should get whatever you want. A great moral lesson has been taught here.
He is only 3 and it was probably his first game. Give him a break.
***** Yeah, it's the parents who I'm blaming here. Obviously the kid has been brought up in a family where tantrums get rewarded.
That's right teach him to cry and pitch a fit to get what he wants. That won't end badly or anything.
Trinity Prothro OMG, he’s a kid. And the ball was throwing it to him. Idiot. Seems you’re the one crying.
@@henrycoats371 I'm not crying. I'm not for giving kids something because they cry for it. He already got a ball.
Trinity Prothro already had a ball. The guy was throwing it to him. Be an adult. Yes, you are crying.
Trinity Prothro if you got a ball at a ball game, and you already have one, would you toss the new one back into the field?
To bad so sad. The woman got it so she deserved to keep it.
Mohamed A. And I identify as a pancake so give me all your money or I sue you for bigotry.
Mohamed A. The kid getting whatever he wants because he's three years old and cries.
She didn't stole/snatch the ball from the kid so she really deserve it. If she does then that's cruel.
I got my first and only ball 2 years ago. I didn't get to keep it because the girl in front of me started crying and her parents were very immature and demanded the ball and said I stole it from them. My parents made me give it to them. I am sure I will never catch a ball again with my luck.

A. Neither the kid or his family had possession of the ball at any point.
B. The couple got the ball fairly.
C. He got a ball in the past, so what's the problem? People can go to baseball games their entire lives and never get one. Just because you are a kid does not mean you are entitled to any ball that lands in the vicinity of you.
I loved that comment, Rangers should get him a therapist instead of jerseys and signed balls
+odblog thats more child privilege than white privledge. white privilege would be Brock turners case. In my opinion, the adults did notice the child and took pics right in front of him. yes, the parents need to teach their child not to overreact to things like that but it still doesnt change my opinion for the two adults who couldnt make a childs day. I dont know, I guess I was raised differently.
It's common practice to give home run balls to kids because it has more meaning to them and considering they are at an extreme disadvantage, it's a nice gesture to show your humility and general awareness of others around you.
1:10 The kid has ALREADY HAD A BALL BEFORE! GIVE SOMEONE ELSE A CHANCE I WOULD KILL TO GET A MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL ⚾
Hudson , It's a ball that's all and unless it has specific meaning that's all it will ever be . In a few months or less even it will be discarded and probably put away in a closet .
Stevie Okay did you not understand the comment? Every ball has a different meaning
Last time I checked a “major league baseball” is the same as a regular baseball. It’d be a neat thing to have but definitely not a big deal.
@@slyspy9819 & that's exactly what would have happened if he caught that baseball. Kids don't appreciate ANYTHING especially at three!
Just cause he didn’t get the ball and he cried about it doesn’t mean he should get a ball and a jersey form the whole team SIGNED. He’s already gotten a ball before, This couple should have a chance to.
Bed Head I do agree with you, there are DEFINITELY worse people. In one video I saw, a baseball player tosses a ball to a young girl while an adult woman next to her also tries to reach for it. The ball does land in the girls arms, but then, pardon my French......THIS BITCH then precedes to pry the ball from the girls arms! Then goes back to her seat FUCKIN PLEASED WITH HERSELF and starts high-fiving someone next to her while the girl looks heartbroken and the sport spectators calling her disgusting. So, yeah, this couple is far from the worst fans.
Apparently people found out about their identities and decided to torment them by calling them and screaming at them for a while. That wasn't fair. Why, you ask?
Even the kids' mother agrees on that the lady did nothing wrong, and also agreed on that he needs to learn that he can't get anything. He didn't even cry for that long anyways, apparently. Plus, the kid, the dad or the mom wasn't the one who caught it.
You could argue that the couple ignored the kid, but you have to remember that they must've had to be really excited, plus the fact that there's a baseball game going on and that there's always a lot of noise in there,
Kudos to your post! The mother even said here that they talked to the couple after and they were very nice. Wow ... some cruelty.
I'm not saying that harassing 2 innocent people is ok. But the first time watching the video it really looks like she took the ball from him and was rubbing it in his face
@@o0Scarrow0o She was not rubbing it in his face, it might look like it, but trust me, it was not. She was just caught up in the moment with her finance. Listen to what the mother said, she was there, so I trust her word more. The couple are not cruel people, the situation as the mother said was not as bad as it looked. The mother even said that they were even nice and compared balls with the kid. It was just how the media portrayed it, that is all there is to it.
@@brandoncolis3841 I know I was just saying that it's easy to see it that way when you first watch it
Kids, what did you learn today?
Just cry and play the victim to the world and you will get things.
Oh and age discrimination is a thing. The younger you are, the better it is.
hahaha I know eh? The better lesson for the kid would have been that sometimes shit just doesn't work out...he had been in that seat before and got a ball, the next time a couple didn't notice him and he wasn't able to get a ball. Now, not only did he get the ball in the end...but the Texas Rangers are giving him a present for the "pain and suffering" suffered for the 30 seconds he didn't think he was going to get his baseball? C'mon! That's laying it on just a bit too thick.
RobertBalto Yeah, I thought it would've been a great life lesson for the kid, not everything goes your way. But, nope.
RobertBalto
Absolutely! this is why some kids grow up to be brats and never learn anything the hard way (not saying everything is hard) but completely agree!
I agree. I work at a VERY popular theme park in SoCal and every once in awhile you see kids who are spoiled brats. There is this epidemic nowadays that kids are entitled to everything. It seems like people don't value hard work anymore and accept things not always working out. Those parents didn't "steal" the ball. That kid wouldn't have caught that, nor was it ever close to him while on the ground. Most people would be lucky if they ever caught a foul ball at a baseball game in their life.
It's a little unfair. This kid got what he wanted by crying and the couple gets slandered. They didn't steal it. He didn't get the ball, he needs to learn he can't have everything.
One time I caught a ball and all the people around me were getting pissed off that I didn’t give it to the toddler 6 seats down. Little did they know I actually gave it to my grandma, who was sick in the hospital, the next day.
Kids cry over everything they didn’t know that ball was for him and that he was crying over that.
I'm a 23 year old. Do you think I can get a ball and a jersey if *I* cry?
no because everyone thinks children should be handed everything instead of learning to share. this kid caught balls already, and because he cries, that makes her a monster, maybe it was her first ever foul ball, and this kid just wanted another one and di not get it. perfect example of one spoiled kid in the future and people who think kids should be worshiped lol
Tin CanHD you are 23 and that's a three year old kid if you cry you will not get stuff if you cry but Kim he can get stuff
The damned ball came to them and the kid threw a fit. Little dude had already caught a ball in that spot before according to the parents. Lessons in life little man...they will get tougher. Why is this national news anyway?
sickb2200 You should still give the ball to a little kid even if you caught it. And why does this always have to be "Welcome to the new world, fuck your innocence. we're going to make you suffer and not enjoy being 3 years old"
Why dose a bratty kid have to have the ball o see people give away fail balls all the time to kids, they don't cry once the other person has it.
Austin Rodriguez Probably because the kid was making an effort to catch it (or atleast his dad was).
First of all, the woman caught the ball, not the boy’s family.
Second, it said the boy had already got a ball there, so to take another ball off a couple that probably has none, is quite greedy.
Third, the boy never had the ball, so it is not called stealing.

He learnt a valuable lesson that day - throwing tantrums works.
I love how this ended by the News teasing the kid 😂
I don’t see what the issue is here I’ve seen the video several times now and several people reached out for the ball, not just the kid and his parents and that couple. Sure I wasn’t entirely sold they didn’t hear the kid sitting RIGHT NEXT TO THEM crying, but i don’t get why the world was treating them like monsters just cuz some kid couldn’t get a ball. This is what always ticks me off about baseball games, it makes innocent fans into monster just cuz a camera just happened to catch them getting the ball before some other kid sitting right next to them. I could understand ppl getting angry if that woman had deliberately snatched the ball right out of the kid’s hands, but they caught fair and square. It’s an absolute load ppl have been treating the couple so poorly.
I guarantee that the kid forgot about the ball 5 minutes later. Such a dumb thing for people to get upset about.

It means he already has one and he's 3 years old. TV shaming adults for fairly catching a foul ball is stupid.
Imagine if every single ball thrown, or foul ball, had to be given to the nearest kid. That's what ABC is suggesting here. It starts with the announcers at the game looking for a "story" while broadcasting.
Please note: I'm not talking about the lady who snatched the ball out of the girls hands. That person should have been ejected from the park.
I'm blown away by these comments. Everyone saying "suck it up kid" or calling him a spoiled brat. The fucking kid is 3. He's not going to "learn a lesson" and shut up by watching the lady beside him wave around the ball that he wanted so badly. If he was 9 and reacting the same way, I'd be right there throwing the insults with you, but give the little guy a break. Nothing is sadder than seeing a heartbroken 3 year old...you only get to be a little kid once...let him enjoy it.
He has to learn that he can't get his way in this world. Fair is fair. The couple caught the ball, so it's theirs. You have to teach them from an early age that life is not all about them. I've seen parents giving in to their child's crying and screaming when they wanted ice cream or some toy in the store. They usually grow up being self-centered and disrespectful to authority.
***** Sorry, but you can't have it your way all the time. That's the problem with people like you. Spoil the child and give him what he wants. Then when he/she gets into those teenage years, you will look back and regret it. I've seen it way too many times. By the way, I raised kids and taught them what's fair in life, starting from when they were little ones. If you didn't catch the ball then it's not yours. They have to learn that mine, mine, mine is not acceptable unless you earn it. By the way, there is no law where a ball thrown randomly to a crowd should be given to a child. If his parents get it, then that's a different story.
cincycap sorry pal, but there is a mountain-load of shit that is sadder than being a heartbroken three year old. Get some fucking perspective.

It would have been much better if the guy that caught the ball looked at the kid and laughed at him bahahaa would have made my day!!!!
Yep, sounds like a spoiled little kid to me.
I have kids and they know that they have to earn what they get and not have it handed to them. Now who's kids will be better prepared for real life, your entailment kids, or my kids who had to earn what they got? Thats what I thought.
Going a bit overboard on the firewood? Really? They do chores, they do their homework, and they've earned their place in the world. And the kid cried, that how he earned that because his parents are teaching him the ideals of entitlement.
Maverik Lacrosse The player never told him he was going to get a ball. They said that they sat in that seat in a previous game and got a ball, so the kid EXPECTED one this game. When he didn't get it he cried, Instead of telling the boy he cant have everything in life the give him another ball. The bottom line is that the kid is spoiled
And now I'm wondering whether I'm spoiled, because I don't get gifts for my birthday or Christmas or any holiday really (because I'm non-religious and I actually used to think that I shouldn't have gotten a present on my birthday, because we never did that in our house). However, I did make a deal with my parents when I was 13 that if I got all A+s for my exams they'd have to buy me whatever book I wanted until I was 18. This was during a failing bout (all Fs or Ds) and they just laughed and told me they'd buy me a rocket and send me to live on the moon if I got all A+s for my exams. So I got all A+s for my exams but they didn't give me my rocket, or my house on the moon. They cut off the deal after they had spent about $300 on my new stuff, because they said it was "getting out of hand".
Zacho789 you should be happy with those 300$ and the knowledge you have achieved you spoiled kid :-)
If you don't get what you want, cry like a bitch until you get it. Great lesson guys.
I know this is old. But the kid was 3… you’re a jerk for calling a 3 year old a b*tch for crying. Wow. It doesn’t matter how “good” a kid is raised, 3 year olds cry when they don’t get their way.

It's just a baseball. Besides, the parents even said, "we've been in that section before and he's gotten a ball." Parents didn't seem bothered by it. The only one making a big deal out of this is the public and media itself. Guess how many balls I got when I was a kid. None. I was never even taken to a professional ball game or hockey game. He'll live.
I have 3 foul balls. You know how many fucks I give? 0. This should not be news, it means nothing.
Richard Jones and yet, because of a 3 year old crying, he gets a ball literally costing a fortune to some and a Jersey many people spend an arm and a leg over. So the woman isn't allowed to have the ball just because the toddler wanted it? What are you teaching this kid?
+Jennifer Shaffer Exactly - and who knows. perhaps the woman had been wanting a ball like that since she was a little girl? Typical pathetic behaviour to teach kids. "cry = get everything you want"..yeah...if there was another kid there who´d suck it up and not burst into tears "oh yeah whatever"....fucking pathetic that they treat that shit kid like some special holy angel...
+Jennifer Shaffer shes an old women, why would she care about getting foul ball. on the other hand its a good experience for a young kid to get one.
Thomas People of all ages like to get foul balls: it would make my day if I could catch one. Of course the kid would've had a good experience, but the woman didn't realize the kid was there and caught it instead. The child started crying because someone else got what he wanted (even accidentally) and then everyone started being on his side.
The kid's face at the end is priceless.
No you can't always get
What you want
But if you try sometimes
Well you might find
You get what you need
Isn’t there bigger problems in the world like world hunger and poverty?
The kid looked behind him to see if the signed jersey and ball was there, I imagine he had a tantrum after the camera cut.
Dude, shut up. Not everything needs to be about hunger and war and poverty. I hate comments like this
Marcus Huntsinger but its true though. World hunger and Poverty is way more important than this.
Honestly? Nobody cares I care about that shit more than a spoiled brat and parents who need a reality pill shoved down their throats
Lesson Learned: Throw a tantrum, get what you want.
how long has that person waiting to get a ball? How long has the kid been waiting? Kids have their whole lives to get an opportunity. Seize the moment. You have an opportunity at something after so long, you go for it. Don't be pityful just to be nice. Its called learning lessons about life.
My man is lucky he has sat down there multiple times, I always sit in the nosebleeds
Kids at that age need to know that you don't get everything you want. I'm glad that couple kept the ball, and I wish they wouldn't reward him for his tears.
I am 10 years old and I think this kid needs to grow up it is not the kid it is the parents if they would give the kid disaplin and teach him that you do not get every thing in the world handed to you he would not act like that. If that was me I would be in trouble.
You are dumb, AND he’s three. Probably at the age of three you’ve had a ton of fucking fits so don’t even.
N O H O N E Y Stop talking like everyone was a spoilt little bitch when they were 3. Some kids actually know how to be grateful.
So just because the kid was crying the person who caught the ball is an evil person that's stupid it's her ball 🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀
My dad would have shook me (Not hard) and told me to knock it off, not because he hated me but because back in my day parents actually controlled situations like that teaching the kids "You don't always get what you want" There were hard lessons but lessons in life just the same. That's why my generation was called the greatest generation ever. We had rules, guidelines and discipline. In other words, if I threw a tantrum like that, my dad would have simply taken me home for acting like a brat.
He might have learned an important lesson that day: you don't get always get what you want in life.
I get what you mean with that, but rather they got it or not, it was obviously intended for the kid. After being spoken to by the parents and reporters, they still kept it. I support the statement you don’t always get what you want, but in this scenario those people should have given the kid the ball, it’s the right thing to do.
Exactly, and it doesn't matter anyway because he got a signed ball and a jersey
wait... how is this news.. if he still got a ball? wtf..
Think it shows just how heartless, selfish and evil people have become under our social systems. I'd say that's pretty important...
I want to see how this reply chain goes in the future, so I'm just going to post this comment.
The kid shouldn’t get the ball, so many people miss out on getting a ball and this is not teaching kids how to deal with situations that aren’t fair.
The couple with the little boy even said it was unintentional.
Exactly, so what is everyone's problem? I seriously doubt the couple did it to be cruel, to make fun, etc. The parente were interviewed. The couple was interviewed.
Just a big misunderstanding. Get over it.
Although it was pretty crappy to rub it in , that was their ball. They should not be shamed for wanting to keep it , or pressured to have had to have given it to him. I don't give a damn how old you are , fair game and the kid needs to be taught he can't always get his way just cause he is a baby and can cry. Congrats. 90 percent of u wouldn't have given the ball to him soooo...
Supernatural Person i would have? Its just a ball to me but to a 3 year old it means the world
Rainbow Dash Yeah why not just hand over 50 grand to a baby cause their crying....
Supernatural Person It would sell for like $5 at the most lol.... especially because it’s a rangers game. If it was Aaron Judge’s like idk 500th homer that was signed by him, it probably would be worth something
Alexander The Turtle Ok.? Still was her ball .. she did not have to give it to him..
They caught it lol it never even got close to the lil dude
weeleon this is so stupid!!!!!!! why is this on the fucking news it’s stupid.
HE PROBALY DIDNT GET THE FIRST ONE BUT HE GOT BETTER HE GOT ONE FROM EVERY PLAYER
He's 11/12 now, hope he knows what to actually do when this happens now
He'll grow up to be a brat.
+Sebastian Rodriguez because he learned a very important lesson on that day. that he could get everyone to feel sorry for him and pay attention to him if he cries
+Dedpewl l...kinda the way I see it, he was not close enough to catch ball...it happens
Yes because I'm sure when you were 3 you would have just said 'okay whatever' after getting a ball in a seat, then the next time being 1 seat away and not getting a ball... Idiot
"Where is it"😂
Although I probably would’ve given it to the kid if I noticed him (just because I’m not a big baseball fan) I don’t think she needed to give it to him. It was hers and no matter how much older she was probably really excited and the parents should have told their kid that it wasn’t his time to get one, but maybe next time.
The parents were so mature. I loved it
looking at the parents this kid is going to spend most of his life disappointed and crying so it's good to let him acclimate early
2:08 when I get an A on my test
The kid learned a life lesson. You don't always get what you want.
that should be a song
