The ROTJ figures are for me the strongest, the range and attention to detail is still amazing! As a kid I had just about every figure, playset and vehicle going and use to spend hours playing with them but obviously we all out grow toys so I packed them all away in boxes put all the weapons in tubs so they wouldn't go missing hoping to pass them down to my kid's but unfortunately my Dad gave most of it away I managed to save my At At,scout walker and only a handful of figure's I was and still am devastated! That was my childhood he just gave away! So 5/6 years ago after year's of complaining to my wife about what I use to have she surprised me with 12 figure's she bought off ebay and I've been collecting ever since and I'm 15 figure's short of the vintage kenner collection. Love your videos! Greetings from the UK!!

Thank you she is amazing!! It's just frustrating how expensive they are now! I'm 46 and I still remember going into town when I was a kid and paying £1.50 for these amazing toy's now I'm paying anywhere between £20 and £150 I must be mad lol. Keep it up and may the force be with you!

That crying with the rancor keeper intro!!! 😢😂
Kenner knocked it out of the park with their ROTJ offerings. I loved all of Jabba's goons & the many Ewoks, but the Luke Jedi, Skiff Guard Lando, & Leia Boushh are classics for me.
While I was alive for the release of Empire Strikes Back, it was really Return of the Jedi that made the most impact on my young life. So these figures will always hold a special place in my heart and remembering seeing them on the pegs will always be a special memory for me as well.
And those Mail-Aways!!! I was fortunate enough to mail away for all of them & got Ackbar, Nien Nunb, the Emperor, & Anakin. I remember eagerly awaiting for them. Completely forgetting about then. Then having all that joy return once they arrived. Lol
The only issue I have with the Kenner stuff from the RotJ era is the plastic used for the bubbles from many of the factories, since they almost always go yellow on us. 😢
Really love this episode and recap. As I said before ROTJ will always have a special place in my heart and in my collection.

Mate, as someone who loves the vintage kenner line but isn't overly knowledgeable about the line, your videos are really really helpful in learning about them all. Please keep them up!

ROTJ had some of the best sculpts, especially in the proportions for the non-human characters. I think this was the last Kenner wave I actually got before Transformers took over my imagination. Thanks for another great trip down memory lane!

Love the Emperors Royal Guard! The Camo versions of Han & Leia were the coolest in my opinion! You just know anyone who bought those, opened up them bubbles to remove the camo jackets and see what they looked like! Awesome video Joey!!

The ROTJ line was indeed awesome when they came out. I think my first buy was a Luke Jedi. I got him in the spring but then had to put him away until by birthday in the summer. Talk about anticipation! Good times.

This line was so exciting when they came out! The emperors royal guard, Bousch, & the biker scout were my favorites. General Madine and Admiral Ackbar were probably the two biggest peg warmers & bargain bin fodder of the entire line up. Great video!

Those are great figures that you marked as your favorites. I think as a kid I liked ackbar, so my parents probably got that one at a discount, lol. Thanks for watching my friend!

Great info and outstanding presentation! My only constructive criticism would be: in the cases where the figure is from your childhood or was gifted to you, if you could say how much "similar" ones (condition/accessories) are going for, that would be most beneficial!
I'm going through my childhood collection for the first time since the 90s, and find your videos incredibly useful as a resource. Kudos on the great production as a whole!

I am sorry about the loss of your mother, right after she gifted you the Leia figure! Very sad! I have a photo of me from my 10th birthday, presenting the Leia figure on a tri logo card. I sold all my figures when I was around 15 on a flea market and it took me a while to get back the Leia on a tri logo in decent condition and good price! This year on Hake's! Thanks for the video!

hey Joey. Not sure if you remenber but on 26th June I told you I will start to collect vintage from scratch. Today I am complete. 107 figures .
The leia bespin with turtle neck was the last.
Thx for you leading the way and words of wisdom. Some I should have listened to a bit more such as buying complete as it's been killing me getting hoods and bow for warok and light saber for r2.
What you think about collecting MOC next?? Very expensive but tempted.
    Thx mate . Dave . Melbourne , Australia .

Congratulations Dave!!! And in record time!!! I appreciate the kind words my friend and glad these videos helped 🙌🏼. I will go down the MOC path and have been collecting the ROTJ cards! I’ll show that journey soon :). And yes, buying complete IS the way to go, but as you saw I did buy a few were I had to hunt down some of those on their own. Thanks for watching and again, congratulations! 🎊

I'd say last 14, because of Anakin,
but I'm the kind o' guy who says there's 24 figures, not 21 for the original Star Wars line. :)

    • @thepadawancollectorofficial
      @thepadawancollectorofficial  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes it should be 14 because of Anakin, but he got his card debut on the POTF line. Thanks for watching T!

The Boushh rifle handle fits under her left arm above the canister (on the belt), but I it puts the arm on a bind, so I wouldn't even try it, but that's just me.
    I'm anal about my figures.
There may be different makes where the arm would allow more of a "keyhole" for the handle to fit through, but the ones I have don't have much space.
The helmet fits on her back and the rifle behind the left arm.
    Love the list rundown
    Thanks for the video
