Man seeing him ask for tape, and then realizing that play was about to resume, only to see him run out and finish the quarter without any tape or brace was one of the most badass things I’ve seen all season. Especially with the crowd exploding like that. I don’t see how anyone can dislike this guy, tough as nails
No one compares to Matt Stafford against the Browns his rookie year. Shoulder popped out of place. Went back in and won the game. Screamed in pain when his teammate grabbed him in celebration. Legendary game.
@@D71219ONE i mean... dislocated shoulder isn't that bad... mine pops out all the time and it's a quick pain putting it back in but after it's back in there's more relief than pain... kind of like if you hold your breath for a really long time until you can't anymore and then you finally take that big breath it's that kind of feeling... it's a little sore but it's only like a 2 on the pain scale for soreness so for a professional QB who experiences pain all the time it's entirely possible to keep playing you just have to turn that part of your brain off and ignore it which to be fair not everyone can do.

nah, he was already falling down, thre was no shift in his hips or knees to fall purposely on PH's leg. NFL made all these rules to protect the QB from hits so know defense have to drag them down which is causing a whole other issues with injuries instead of concussions you now have sprains and torn ligaments

This injury was actually scary man. He is one of those QBs that is so good you forget he can still be injured. When I saw that knee go down on his ankle I immediately thought "that's it for the year its super broke". Then to see him try and play on it was like nails on a chalk board. I can't believe he risked that. He could've ended his whole career by staying on that field right after

Massive respect for Mahomes pushing through it, though at the time it was nail-biting, just worrying about what it could be and how pushing through could affect his career longevity. Very glad it isn't as serious of an injury as we were all terrified it could be, will say from experience that high ankle sprains are VERY painful

Rolled ankles are probably the most common injuries in my case I definitely had more then a few of these playing football and basketball.
Mahomes said that the injury is a little similar to his 2019 injury but not as bad. He’s doing things by the book getting treatment and practicing until gameday this Sunday

Y’all know I rock hard for my chiefs, I just rewatched the game this morning and the player that fell on Mahomes did it intentionally. He looked down to see where to fall on his foot and threw his hands up to act like it was an accident! Hated I erased the game before I took a screen shot of it, however if you know me I will find the footage and post it later!
he threw his hands in the air so he didn’t get flagged on the play for trying to make a play. plays happen so fast, they’ll call roughing the passer for some of the best sacks, just to protect the quarterback. He didn’t do it all purpose just simply tried to sack the quarterback
Pain Tolerance is almost the most valuable attribute you can have playing this sport.
Gotta be honest, I had a similar injury about 2 months ago when I was out for a run. Could still stand, but couldn’t walk without a limp. If he’s in as much pain as I was in and he’s still playing, I gotta give him props.
That being said, it looks like we’re dealing with an ankle sprain at minimum, and that could take weeks to heal. Who knows if he’ll be as mobile in the championship.
I'm assuming you rolled your ankle the opposite way since you were on a run. Painful af, but he's likely in alot more pain considering he got rolled from the outside by a 200+ lb dude. Thank god it wasn't worse, he is one tough qb

Key injury to mahomes seems intentional after he got flagged for RTP on henne
I watched this a dozen times and this was a dirty play. The defender had both his legs underneath him and instead of staying on his legs after the pass was gone he decided to not stand up and purposely folded his legs up instead of standing up. He put all his weight around Patrick's neck and shoulders with his left arm and then bent his knees purposely into him collapsing into Patrick's legs. He even looks down. He pulled him down not trying to even keep his weight on his legs. It's like if I grab you and pull my legs off the ground and don't try to catch my weight and put all that weight onto you and then drive my knees into your legs and watch to make sure I crush your ankle. This was a total dirty play trying to take out Patrick and it serves the Jaguars first losing. Patrick is by far the best ever. We all know Brady never would've continued nor won. Patrick was playing on one leg and still threw a jump TD. Jaguars are dirty players.
