    Do you prefer motion blur enabled or disabled?
    ¿Prefieres el desenfoque de movimiento activado o desactivado?

      Honestly , i would prefer it since its like if you were playing like on Super Mario Odyssey
      Although... , i dont remember if Super Mario Odyssey does have motion blur

      Disabled, too weird to me.

    I expected this to look bad but, damn, it's pretty great. Pair it with Render96 models and it'd almost look like an early Pixar movie.

      not the out of place models, please. the original one is the perfect model.

    3:11 The frame remained with the image of Peach, it did not change to Bowser!

    It's incredible that a game of the 64 looks like a game of today

      Well lots of modding, time, and coding. Anything is possible

    • @protocetid
      @protocetid 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Nah the mods aren’t there yet. The worlds remain low poly, there’s no materials and modern games use geometry for surfaces like bricks.

    • @armzngunz
      @armzngunz 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It doesn't remotely look like a game of today, but looks much more modern with mods though.

    • @pacapprovedsomecrabmeat
      @pacapprovedsomecrabmeat 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@protocetid Technically they can do that, Render96 already showed how high poly models look in this game.

      it's like it looks like a switch game while maintaining the vibe of the n64

    With the HD models I am sure the motion blur will look amazing with everything! Those water bombs looked really good

  • @chromitei

    Motion blur makes Mario 64 look like good rendered machinima! To bad, that RTX is very expensive(

  • @iownu92
    @iownu92 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    I like the motion blur. Some distance, depth-of-field style blur would be cool too!

  • @mullar
    @mullar 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    i never considered how funny BLJing would look like with motion blur, it's oddly fitting

  • @johnclark926
    @johnclark926 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    People have mentioned this motion blur working well for machinima animations and it got me thinking, Darío and the Render96 team turned Mario 64 from looking like a rough early 3D game to cinematic-quality 90s CGI.

  • @brandonspain12345

    The smother animation reminds of the original Toy Story insanely enough.

  • @JeffreyThrash

    Normally I’m not a massive fan of motion blur, but it looks pretty convincing here. Maybe a lot of my other games just do motion blur wrong…

    Would love to play this in VR. Not the first person/motion control gimmick kind of VR though. Would love to use an original controller and play from the intended lakitu perspective. 3rd person, puppet master style VR is the best way to play platformers.

    I'm super bummed because my PC can't handle sm64rt (it gives me a pop up discouraging me from using it because my hardware won't be able to keep up) and I really want to play the game like this. Oh well. Maybe in the future.
