Great video man, this came out so damn good! 🔥 love that you used the blue and yellow option and help buttons. I also learned a ton about trackballs because of you, awesome stuff!
This is exactly what I'm looking for. I own an OG SSB, and am browsing around looking to buy nitehawks for bags, GT 2016 and SSB X. Any chance you do a tutorial on how exactly you stuffed them all in this tiny cab? I"m assuming you are using a separate nitehawk for each game.. what are you using to switch them? are you manually powering each system on and off during the cuts in this video?
First of HUGE shout out to Big Rexer. This gentleman has taken time out of his day to help me fix major issues I was having with my PI image and set up. Made my gaming experience million times better and I learned a lot along the way. I wish Rexer had his own buisness because his customer service would be off the chain. Thanks again Rexer seriously appreciate it!! Second of all all this cab is EPiC. I want to build one SO bad. Amazing job man amazing job. Thanks again for all the help. If those two games work you may be helping me set a pi 4 up in the near future lol. You are the man ! 🙏 Dan M
That thing is AMAZING! Seriously man I am super impressed! I have made a few Mame machines in the past, always used the Xarcade Tank Stick. The first time I homemade a cabinet I had the monitor bezel too close to the trackball so my friends and I would always slam our hands while playing Golden Tee 2002 or whatever the newest version we could find was. Later I built a couple more and made room and they play the old versions of Golden Tee great. But that's so cool that you made this from scratch and it's running 2014! I love that game, used to play it for hours in my local bar LOL
Its funny you menition the slamming the hand into the monitor because i thought long about how to avoid that with this setup. I put it as far back and angled as possible but its still fairly close. But you just have to be a little careful and go up with your hand a little after the ball. i never used the full throttle method and always used the two thumbs because i feel i get better accuracy. But my buddies jam it.
Hella nice Rex!!! Please do a video on the internals, there are lots of IT cab owners that already have the nighthawk hardware and would like to add a game or two. Is it just a 4port sata switch with a modified/hacked cab-ID or are you switching between cab-ID sticks too?

Hey Rexer! I know this video is old, but man you and @Kevgret are giving me fomo. Hoping to pick up a pedistal 2018 or better. Know anyone selling one in Vegas?
I don’t know anyone. But I’ve been at a few bars who have them and i was thinking some bars would be willing to sell you one maybe. Also. We played on twitch today , we ate all on GT 2023.
If you do it the right way you can do a Jamma Switcher, or actually the Incredible technologies switcher, which will allow 2 games together. The IT switcher is very expensive , but the generic swithcers kinda suck. I'm using a Sata Switch actually with the 4 hard drives tied into it.
I am doing something similar, but on a Dedicated pedestal. Still needing a couple of drives. Do you sell any of the parts that you used for this conversion? BTW, Nice job !!
I have a golden tee 2000 - can I add a silver strike or bowling game to it via the perfect solution or do I need to upgrade my golden tee? It is currently using a JAMMA harness.
Not sure if you could offer any advice or there would be someway to contact you privately?? Just wanted to ask if you had any advice on sourcing parts for this specifically i want to start off with golden tee, but cid 14 seems very impossible to find for me.
There’s not many like this out there in the world . You would have to build it yourself. Or grab an old GT arcade cabinet, and put all the hardware in it.
Well building it myself saved some money but the problem is the hardware isn’t readily available any longer. You can’t find this stuff for sale anymore. It’s cost me about $1000 for the hardware not including the trackball and buttons and such.
I have a a1up golden Tee. I want to make it a dedicated bowling cab. Silver Strike bowling is a little over-the-top and too expensive for me. What bowling game would you consider the next best thing? I also cannot decide what to run it with. PC or Android box. Or maybe even the Legends connect. Not sure where to start or what the best option would be to hook up a trackball to. Any info you could provide would be much appreciated. At least you help me get started in the right direction. Thanks
@DML the only bowling games that I know that will emulate on lower hardware is world class bowling and Capcom bowling , that are any good. You don’t need a pc for those. There is just no substitute for SSB though. Especially if you’re going dedicated bowling. There’s plenty of usb trackballs out there that are good for games like that. Even the xarcade trackball or GRS trackball
Yes I know Silver Strike bowling is the best. But from what I've seen it cost quite a bit to get everything you need to run it. I already have a Golden Tee control Deck with trackball. So I was looking for something to run that can use the same setup. I see lots of bowling games on Android. So I was wondering if I could use an Android box somehow hooked to the Golden Tee control deck. Otherwise I would go with world-class bowling. But not sure what would be the cheapest and simplest to run it
@@DLWang I’m not experienced with android games. I would think it would work but you need a compatible encoder with the trackball to the android device.
Rex , I tried contacting GameOnGraphix to inquire on a control board for A1Up but no luck. How do you think I can get that same controller board decal but to fit the A1Up golden tee?
Did he answer you? I can give you his email directly for the person I work with. I gave them my photoshop file , but remember my control panel is 21 inches by 12.5. So the file would have to be manipulated to fit an arcade 1up. I believe gameon grafix can do the photoshop work to make it fit a 1up control panel for you. Let me know.
Alexandro Gutierrez oh one more thing. I would have to look at the 1up control panel again , but the holes may be on different spots. They would have to be aligned perfectly. I may know another person who can help as well and had a company that can do it perfectly or close to.
