I've always had a fondness for Maine even though I've never been there . I still got so much too try in Ontario , but that Moose and Lobster got me questioning
Loving the new challenge already have fun boys, your know part of my day, loving retirement at 52 reminds me of the Whitehorse days my first job was shooting squirrels and chipmunks for the hides and with my first slingshot .75 cents a hide I was rich in the mid 70's lol. Happy hunting. Cheers

I hunt moose straight north of Maine in Quebec and it is dangerous over in those parts at night, I rather not drive you never see them coming out a real issue. Don't feel too bad about getting lost. I used my GPS on my phone to get from Chicago to Boston and the damn thing took me through Canada because that was the shorter route! Of course I wasn't expecting to go through Canada so I didn't bring my passport! So the border guy was good enough to let me show him a picture of my passport that I had sent to myself! He was a pretty cool guy. I didn't know you could do that. That's government adapting to technology!

I still use maps, or an internal sense of direction, also known as "Hey, we've never been down this road before - wonder where it comes out?" I don't own a smartphone or a GPS, nor am I looking to buy one. I am happy with my landline, have had same number since 1981. Am looking forward to this adventure of yours, other than the fish smoothie one that I watched first. Good hunting/fishing!
Last time I crossed the border I got the typical "how long will your visit be " my answer "bout 2 weeks " then I was asked "how much money do you have in the bank " I responded "is it any of your business " .Got asked "do you want to enter the u.s?" Lol
i should give you a french class guys :P ahaha its as hilarious to hear us french folks speaking in english than it is to listen to the english saying french words XD

I’ve seen dead ones in the road that also totally demolished the vehicle. And Iv seen moose tracks but no moose live n kickin. I guess I need to explore the interior of Maine a little more!
If you ever manage to get down there, of all the survival people/shows I've seen.. Nobody's ever camped out in the "redwoods" of northern California near the coast. My old stomping grounds there, and it's one of the most beautiful places on our planet. (I've been to over a dozen countries and nearly every US state, that terrain is the most beautiful) Don't know if it'd be good/bad for survival, but small game should be easy, and there's several *very* large rivers running through the region.

I love watching this Maine one alot of places I'm sure I'll notice real well as I lived in the woods for few years in Bowdoin but have up north also Maine's a great state to live off the land and ocean of course Maine lobster so good
Wow you guys are going to be getting lobsters? Yall are going to be living it up this wilderness living challenge. Lol I bet you'll eat a lot of mussels too. I hope you guys ate everything in the lobster head and legs as well. There is soooooo much meat in the head, and it is the tastiest part in my opinion. If you use a rolling pin, you can get all of the meat out of the legs easily.
