    It's coming along nicely and I'm learning to work gently with the puzzle so prevent crumbling. The image is amazing and I'm loving the voiceover work.

    I’m glad this round was more enjoyable. Makes me less nervous to do this puzzle. 😀

    • @fortheloveofpuzzles
      @fortheloveofpuzzles  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the initial start of such a large piece count per bag is a bit overwhelming. But a thorough sort does then make it so much more enjoyable. And then once I had a good number of pieces in place, things didn't fall apart as much. Still have to be very careful with it but the image does make up for a lot of this puzzles flaws. 💜🧩

      I'm working on the sky now and the cut pattern definitely repeats like others have mentioned and now I'm having to battle false "exact" fits. Meaning that the pieces fits perfectly as it's the same cut, but it definitely doesn't go there. I'm working on the purples in the sky and it's tricky for the darker colours. 💜🧩

      Little bit flat! 💔💔 If you knew how many hours it took to record and re-record and triple-record the voiceover…I kept getting tongue-tied and messing up. @@fortheloveofpuzzles The puzzle is in 4 bags of 6,000 pieces which weren't labelled but I realise were in order, the first bag was the first part, second bag was the second part etc. I started in the middle of February. I wanted to start at the beginning of the year, but I had to get my game plan in place for building and storing while building the puzzle. I don't have the space for doing the full puzzle (I don't think I would want to mix all the bags anyway even if I had the space) so I'm doing each of the four bags separately.

    Nice progress! Omg, I didn't know we could request a Parliament Hill flag! I went to the website and the waiting time exceeds 100 years! I dont think ill ever get my flag 😅 I remember going to the biosphere museum when I was young and thinking "this is the most boring school trip ever!" I should go back, I've been meaning to since running the Montreal half marathon last year! The start of the race was at Parc Jean-Drapeau :) Great video!

    • @fortheloveofpuzzles
      @fortheloveofpuzzles  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think they should change the process - like every year you register and it's a lottery. They draw the winning names for the number of flags that they have available and then send those out. Then they do again each year after that. I mean, there are most likely people on the waiting list who are no longer with us. Running a half marathon - AWESOME!!! You go!!! I could never...ever...imagine doing something like that. 💜🧩

      @@fortheloveofpuzzles I totally agree! That would be more fair, I think. Everyone gets a chance. Hahah! I did it once and even though it went really well, I don't think id do it again! A race in September means training during the summer when its 35°C outside, no thank you! I enjoy running, but I do it mostly so I dont feel guilty to spend so many hours sitting, doing jigsaws 😅🧩

    Achei muito interessante o que você falou sobre as bandeiras no Canadá. Esse quebra cabeça é muito frustrante para a minha cabeça! Gosto de coisas organizadas, simétricas, etc. Que estressante, está até parecendo com as peças aqui do Brasil, tipo: não me toque, qualquer movimento sai tudo do lugar! Glad to hear that you are coming to terms with coping with this jigsaw. I see that you are using pieces of paper to do some building and then carefully sliding the section into the relevant place. No doubt that has helped you to get larger sections done. The information you provide is always interesting although I am having to try and watch two things at once, you making the jigsaw and the subtitles. 🙄 A good suggestion by your husband to move the table forward so that you can access the jigsaw from all sides. Particularly as each section is so large. As one of my T-shirts says - Keep Calm and Puzzle On - Look forward to the next one. 🧩🧩

    • @fortheloveofpuzzles
      @fortheloveofpuzzles  ปีที่แล้ว

      I might have to pull out the table as he recommended - at least when I am working on the far edge of the puzzle. Or I should start with items along that side and then gently shift them up towards that edge. 💜🧩
