I’m a far left-liberal, but, regardless of his views, it’s undeniable the dude is a genius creator, continuing to influence fantastic work-nothing changes that.
His politics are pretty sane now and he's since noted the bad place he was in when he spat out unhinged rants about occupy, etc. I wonder how much "respect" he would get from certain people who were thrilled by that stuff after he made himself extremely clear on where he stands re: merga/DT, etc.
His art went from all-right to extraordinary to revolutionary in a matter of just a few years. I believe the main reason for that progress is his courage. Frank Miller is a fearless artist (and writer), never scared to try whatever the challange.
He didn't start with the strongest art skills, but his love for comics and pure determination allowed him to overcome constant rejection in an industry that was not on its best shape. His comics are remembered and influential. I commend the interviewer for getting very insightful answers.
Frank is surprisingly warm and friendly. I don't know why it's a surprise, I would just be very intimidated to meet him. Very cool to see him like this.
That's my idol right there. Yeah his limited work since 2000 wasn't good (the guy was fighting Cancer so I cut him some slack), but from the beginning to about that time there was nobody that wrote and drew better than him.

literally just finished watching his g4 Icon documentary. Thats how i remember him as a teen but soon realize that was filmed 12 years ago. Damn he got old. Ive always enjoyed he's art work and dark story telling.
it's funny that he said that nobody will find that Gold Key Twilight Zone comic . I did . I'm a big fan of FM & when I first read the comic I found something very familiar in the art . I discovered that the artist was FM by looking in the Overstreet price guide . the book now resides in my collection .
