I worked at Harley when the soft tail deuce came out. It was the first bike to have those "bullet" turn signals, one thing they said in the brochure for the deuce was the TS lenses were designed to be popped off using a quarter. So if you needed a bulb out on the road you didn't need a tool to access it. Just a fun fact.

So I'm really new to the Harley scene. I have had 7 or 8 bikes in my lifetime, minibike when I was a kid, then a kx250 dirt bike, then a Yamaha Seca 750, Katana 600 (which I wrecked) GXR600, Triumph Daytona 675, Yamaha R6 and now a 2012 Soft Tail Fatboy lo. The transition from a sport bike to a cruiser was not as bad as I thought. But I am newish to your channel and really like what you guys are doing. BTW I was the guy that hammered you for using scotch locks, don't ever do that again. lol. I love the fact that there are a HUGE number of things you can do to your bike to make it your own. The problem is I don't know where to look for all these accessories. I shop the local Harley dealership but that's really expensive, I show Amazon but not really knowing the name of some of the parts, they can be really hard to find. What sites do you two go to when looking for accessories?

I used the cheap resistor (orange) you showed, under the seat and taped it up with thick aluminum tape cause the get a little warm! Only thing that stopped the hyperflash on my 2004 Softail.

I have a 2007 XLX Sporty 883 and I am going to do it..myself. My partner he passed away so not here I got to TCB it. So more video for us Chikas can do ourselves.The head light probably need help with that.

before i went with some custom low profile led lights for my 2020 Softail Standard, I bought a set of 4 led lights off Amazon, $26, and they worked perfectly
I've heard that as well about the Amazon/Ebay lights. I've always just used the Eagle Lights. They are based in Connecticut and have great customer service. Thanks for watching!
Newer bikes are generally less fussy about LED’s

@@VPCustoms I have a 2015 FXDL with LED’s all around I only get the hyper flash from The indicator lights in the gauges. 🤷♂️

You needed to do a BCM. Turn the ignition on, turn on the hazards, turn the ignition off, wait 4-5 minutes, turn ignition back on, turn off hazards, turn off ignition. Then turn the ignition back on and should be good to go. It worked for me.
I believe that works fine for the newer bikes but ours are too old for that trick and the BCM can't handle the LEDs. A new load equalizer from Eagle Lights did the trick!!

a channel with Night Trains, cool :). Hey, on cars they make LED 'friendly' flashers that can be used instead of load resistors. Haven't looked for bikes, as I haven't started my venture into converting mine yet. Something to look for perhaps. Nice Trains, subscribed.

It’s probably the flux capacitor that’s making it hyper flash on the one side or maybe old blinker fluid? My .02

I would give Big City Thunder a shot as opposed to trying to cut yours and yes, you do require some semblance of baffle for your back pressure. Otherwise, that hog sounds badass!!!👍
Thank you! I decided against cutting the stock and going to end up either putting the Big City thunder baffles or just putting in the torque cones in like I have on the 01. Thanks again for your input and watching!
@@VPCustoms I don't recommend the torque cones because they restrict the exhaust flow coming out the head therefore sacrificing some performance...you need the 1.75 headpipe dia. to keep things flowing smoothly; my $.02.
Definitely changes the look…have you checked out joker machine signals? I know you talked about swapping out with some that don’t stick out too far. I went with bullet style on the rear and the ones that go around the forks on the front.

Greetings I bought the all blacked out light for the back and I got the small led lights for the signal lights I also bought the equalizer when I turn on the blinkers they both caught on on yellow and one clear can you help me with this

Even with LEDs? Just curious. Thought that was just halogen stuff
@@VPCustoms not with LEDs. The original bulb removed however will be damaged if you plan on reusing it because of the oils on our hands

Under the impression the globe leds are ok no resistor needed.
Something to look into! We are all sorted now, the load equalizer was faulty from the factory. Eagle lights sent a new one, good to go!
@@VPCustoms my 09 street bob has LED fronts. Blinked fast for a second or two now works okay not blinking fast 🤷🏻♂️.. do have a spare load equaliser but over here in oz they catch fire if hazards are left on during a breakdown on the highway. But the one I have in my 01 FXDX is a better one than most but disconnected now as gone to stock on that one.

Today I bought the Front Signature LED Turn Signal Inserts part #67801148 the dimensions are wrong way too big, you have to apply huge pressure to snap Them in place, and guest what, when I tried to remove one, it's stuck in place and it cause dammage to the housing and the led insert, DO NOT BUY THIS GENUINE PART.
I agree with you! Definitely go with the Eagle lights!
