    D3 vs. D5: All-Clad It may appear to be a difficult choice, but there are distinct-and significant-differences between them. It's simple to select the best choice for your kitchen if you understand how they differ.
    It's apparent that you trust All-Clad cookware by looking for a comparison of the D3 and D5 product ranges. In reality, the majority of people do. All-clad, along with Demeyere, is one of the most "expensive" stainless steel cookware brands.
    The All-Clad D3 line (classic collection) has been serving families well for years, and its continued existence is a testimonial to its performance and success. However, All-Clad just launched a newer collection called the D5 series, which has many potential purchasers wondering, "Which one should I get?"
    It's here that I get a deep insight into the similarities and differences between them, their structure and what it means to you, and different aspects of the design of both collections. I hope you'll be ready to commit to one of the two collections depending on your needs by the time this video is concluded.

    I love the d5 set I have. It makes great food. Yes it heavy, but the payoff is great. I have a few pieces of the d7 and Le Creuset to pass on to the next generation.

    I just purchased a 12 inch D3 and wanted the D5 but after careful thought and video comparison felt that the D3 performance would suit me better since heat management starts at the burner anyway as well as having rheumatoid arthritis felt the lighter weight would help with that. I also bought the 3 qt pot of the D3 line. Both versions of All clads are on the expensive side of cookware so I figured buy once cry once and bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Can't wait to receive them.

    Yay! I just bought the D3 All clad waiting for the arrival. I’m glad All Clad website gave a 10% discount. A smoking deal since their cookware is high end and very expensive. Anyway I’m so glad to watch your brilliant reviews! cuz I almost called the Customer Service to change my order. D3 is much better than D5. But I’m still contemplating buying the premiumD5 Copper just for display or collection. It so gorgeous cookwares. I must have it!

      Go to HOME GOODS if there is one in your area. They are an All-Clad retailer and sell All-Clad by the piece at GREATLY discounted prices. I have purchased a seven piece set of HA1 all with lids for $280. I also have a 10" D3 skillet and a D3 roasting pan with rack The D3 skillet was the same $40 and the roaster was $60.

    D3. A amateur chef will never notice the difference with the D5.

    • @AmazingChinaToday
      @AmazingChinaToday 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Both are great, but D5 is actually more forgiving to an amateur chef, since the pan heats more evenly

      @Video Games USA....Demeyere Atlantis 7 Ply or All Clad 5ply Copper Core will be your best options. Demeyere Atlantis seems to just edge out the All Clad Copper from what I've seen. I "personally" use the OLD All Clad MC2 3 Ply. PERFECT cookware for me. I use Electric Glass Top stove, so it is GREAT!!! If I still had my Viking Gas Range I would Go with Copper Core for sure and might buy say a Demeyere 10 inch Skillet to try and see against the All Clad. I have D3 All Clad also, it is "Almost" as good as my MC2 and the D3 can be used on Induction Burners. Keep "this" in mind, if you use INDUCTION...then the MORE layers you have the LESS chance there is of WARPING when it heats up. I know, sounds wrong, but it's true from my experience the experience of others. Your mileage may vary. "MY" suggestion to you is to look for USED cookware and try that first. I have $15 GoodWill All Clad pans that had Scratches and Discoloration on the cooking surface that are performing JUST AS GOOD AS MY NEW versions.

      @USA Video Games- For great home chefs go with the D3 line for the money, to get all the features you wanted. Coppercore is wonderful but for the price you just not going to really get your money worth out of coppercore at home. There is no benefit to the D5 or D7 line unless you need larger handles. The additional D5/D7 layers means cooking time is slower than the D3 line. Note-Even if you go with D5 or D7 at some point you will have no choice to buy some D3 pieces cause some pieces only come in the D3 line.
