  • This video shows the main difference between compressive and tensile strength. Strength can be defined as the material resistance to the load until it fails, so in case of compressive strength , the load applied in compression while in tensile strength, the tensile load applies on the object.     make it simple it is matter of pull and press Tensile Strength is pull, Compressive Strength is press

    Sir tell me the values of tensile and compressive strength of steel and concrete ?

      It depends of the steel and concrete quality. Concrete is a good material for compressen but relativly weak for tensile, why you have to reinforce it. Steel can have 400 MPa tensile stenght whilr concrete can be around 3 MPa.. a rule of thumb is that concrete has around 10% tensile strength of its compression capscity
