Almost 15 years ago, i read a report in Ummat newspaper regarding the gemstone asset that Pakistan has, stating that if utilised properly Pakistan can easily pay it's debt. The enthusiasm shown by these giants tells it all.
My request to shark tank and gren tv is to show the complete pitch or at least 20 min pitch and discussions between sharks and entrepreneurs, so that we can understand the scenario. in 10 min pitch we are unable to understand why sharks are giving too much funding and are unable to understand the business.
bhai baat ye hai ke it's a real thing, which is not being valued in Pakistan. Aquamarine is a solid substitute for boring conventional jewelry which is diamond and gold. Even diamond, in its unpolished form, is not valuable at all. Basically diamond comes from coal, that live for centuries deep under the tectonic plates. Coming back to the Aquamarine, it's blue color is its natural beauty and that makes it an excellent competitor to diamond, which is something every luxury jewelry brand is looking for. These sharks know that only investing a few crores, will they be able to make millions if not billions of dollars by exporting it to US and etc and charge them however they like it, because jewelry is high sought after in the US and Europe where their major buyer is billionaires and millionaires.
