    where and how do you obtain such great reference? surely thats the important basis for any successful piece such as this.

      Yes, quality reference images make a huge difference. I work directly with photographers to get permission to use images as artist reference, or I purchase rights through online resources.

      Just a dry sponge used to apply charcoal powder.

    Beautiful work man. I just discovered you on Instagram. So I wanted to look you up on here. You're amazing. I'm actually switching careers. I'm 35. I've been a blue collar steel worker, construction worker all my life. But now my body is so busted up. Inside and out. But I've always had a passion and love for drawing. Well I'm gong to finally pursue my dream. But I was wondering what tools you're using? I've always just used a pencil and used my fingers for shading growing up lol. Everything has changed.     Ya entendi primero mancha todo el cuadrio, luego dibuja sobre lo manchado saca claros oscuros de una luego con agua con un espray sobre todo el cuadro.
