  • Take a look at how the most famous prince and princess - the children of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge - are brought up. Spoiler: they even have to clean their rooms themselves.

    SUMMARY
    - In the family of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, there’s only one babysitter that helps with the children. All duties having to do with feeding, bathing, and walking with the kids are done by the parents. Moreover, William goes to work as a helicopter pilot in the emergency medical services, and the children are well aware of this.
    - Queen Elizabeth II’s great-grandchildren understand from a very early age that all types of work should be valued, whether it’s a mother preparing dinner or a maid cleaning the house. This is why George and Charlotte know that they must finish their meals neatly and pick up after themselves.
    - During dinner, the children sit together with the adults, despite pre-existing traditions that forbade this. Need we say more? Kids should learn from an early age that family is everything. If you show them what it means to love and take care of each other, they’ll be learning from a good role model.
    - “Seeing children communicating with each other at school, I understand that we live in an absolutely different time. We are being replaced by generations that aren’t afraid to declare things that really worry them," says Prince William.
    - Reading books is a favorite pastime of Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Kate often takes the children to exhibitions and museums. Their favorite museum is the Museum of Natural History in London.
    - The Duke and Duchess are known for their love of sport. Kate is fond of field hockey, and William likes to play football, basketball, and polo. Prince George and Princess Charlotte haven’t shown any interest in sports yet, but their parents are sure that their children will follow in their steps in the future.
    - Most people know that they can be kicked out of public events and places if they’re causing a scene. But even royal children aren’t immune to the strict rules of public decency. If the prince or princess gets too naughty, they’re left at home during official outings.
    - To give your kids and yourself some peace of mind, try finding them a distraction from their rambunctious fun. Some smart toys, educational games, or good old Legos could do the trick.
    - No matter how badly the children behave, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge never spank their children. The parents influence their kids using their own special techniques.
    - George and Charlotte spend a lot of time outside riding bikes and jumping in puddles. They’re very restricted, however, when it comes to using electronic devices. Kate and William think that these “toys” are better suited for older ages, while balls, jump ropes, and outdoor games are the best way to develop fantasy and imagination in young ones.
    - Most families have at least one TV set in their home, so watching TV is a commonplace practice. However, the royal couple allots their children a specific time for enjoying their favorite cartoons.
    - Kate and William lead a lifestyle that isn’t all about consumption. They don’t go out and buy the latest, fashionable clothes, which is why you can often see Prince George or Princess Charlotte wearing their parents’ old hand-me-downs or even clothes from Uncle Harry’s childhood. If it’s absolutely necessary to buy something new, the Duchess skips on luxury clothing and sticks to standard brands.

Children need to learn to express themselves, and it lets them know that they are an important part of the conversation. My students were never afraid to tell me what was troubling them. I could then do something to set things right even if it is just letting the child think through the problem.

Re expressing how you feel: Our six year old passed an older man and said, "That man has gray hair. He's going to die soon." Out loud and within hearing. Children should be taught not to say things that would hurt other people's feelings. Teach them to respect the feelings of others, this will develop empathy.

    • @rayblox4859
      @rayblox4859 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

A 6 year old wont know what what and what hurts peoples feeling, unless u go through long list one by one. Also, u dont want them to see dying a very bad thing either...
I dont correct my kids that much, it effects their self steam, unless its necessary

I doubt it had any effect on the gentleman. Be careful of projecting too much emotion into such innocent things......and starting with being more accurate. My best friend was a brunette and she had a beautiful head of gray/white hair at 29. It happens....and she's still beautiful.

What rules would I like to see used with our 2 granddaughters? Cells phones and tablets are not toys and are for the parents. We tend to use them as a pacifier. Read, read, read. This creates a love of books and a desire to learn. Teach the value of money. Maybe we can raise this next generation to be able to earn a living and move out of mommy's and daddy's house. You don't see a focus on these things much today.

slinman100 no I don't think that kids at an early age should worry about how to bring in money for the family,I agree about to teach them the value of money and the wonderful world of books but not to worry about how to help the family in a financial way

Kids should get to express their feelings and opinions as freely as an adult. If you feel they are wrong then you can explain your opinion to them and how they might be able to think differently about a subject. I don’t believe kids should be expected to act like adults but they’re still little people who are entitled to their own beliefs and opinions on subjects.

Children should be free to express their worries, concerns and upsets to the best of their abilities and not have them undermined because "you wait til you get older! Then you'll know about stress!"
Which is what I was told when I was diognosised with stress at 13. Nothing was done to help, and it was completely ignored.

I applaud the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge on their wonderful parenting. The children are very well behaved and seem quite advanced for their ages. I've raised 1-child, who will be 31 on 5/14. My late husband and I were very open-minded&progressive(in our opinions) in raising our son. We didn't believe in spanking, we explained things honestly, we gave him choices, we had sit-down dinners(he assisted with the cooking), we read books & he got his library card at 4years old, TV viewing was limited, he had a schedule that we followed; raising our son was a real pleasure. Our precious boy was extremely advanced, which made our parenting so much easier. As an adult, he is a brilliant, responsible, very hard working gentleman. I'm a very proud mother, & I know that my son will always be my greatest success in this lifetime. I enjoyed carrying him for 9-months&the pain of labor(labor was long)was worth it. I love my son more than words can say. He & I have a very loving&respectful relationship. We're there for each other, always.:)

Isn't cleaning up after yourself a common-sense lesson that should be taught to every kid? That is what I teach my kids and they have been taught this since they were old enough to grab things, walk, and talk. I always read to my kids too and they have a mini collections of their own books. Ya, I wish that everyone had good manners; My husband and I try to teach our kids that too!

I appreciate the up coming of the family, I am so happy they are not different time. Princess and prince are keeping 21st century and have a great time to break rules of the past.

Begging for a thumbs up using a member of the Royal Family is beyond crass.

He deserves a thumbs up because he's raising his kids when all he would have to do is paying a nanny to do everything that's what the queen did but in her defense she was being Queen Charles says she wasn't around but she's been Queen since he was 4

If I cry with my niece she shouts more than ever before and after she calms down cause she is bored she ask me to do the crying again it really hurt to shout at the top of your voice and if I refuse she she starts shouting and then she gets scoulded so what the point it never works for me no matter what I do the kids are just unbearable
