Bearing fixtures are unnecessarily complicated. For perpendicular marking of the pipe, it is enough to take sheet A4, and wrap it around, aligning the edges. draw a marker along the border - in the end you get a clear markup.

I fron Brasil, and you still use very thick cutting discs, there is a disc that measures 1 1/2 mm in thickness 4 1/2 four and a half inches which is great for cutting metals use a small grinder with it you do a lot, just about anything you want , it is a very light and easy to handle grinder, throughout the video you couldn’t really see the size of your grinder more due to the size of the disc I think it’s quite big, if you want to send you some discs when I can, plus this there it was a great idea, congratulations.

sorry but you must have cut the wooden part of the marking gauge along the grain so that the screw would be applying pressure along the grain, your piece is waiting to be split in no time
