I am a compliance analyst with one year of experience in HSBC and I have done engineering but I am more than happy that I got into this field and I love my job and what I work everyday, you learn new things everyday and that's awesome. Many people doesn't know about this field. As she said interview is all about how you sell your yourself and that's it.

@@shahan484 Hello, I did btech in ece. I am into Cybersecurity and was offered a role in GRC. There are different controls as per security framework a company adopts. CIS, NIST, ISO etc are few examples. Compliance people work closely with audit people and make sure these controls are in place. Compliance is a very generic term. So depending upon your degree, you may have compliance officers in finance, adminstration or IT fields. Mine is more IT specific. 🙂

I have been placed in Amazon as a senior product compliance associate and I am very confused whether i should join it or not. I mean does the job profile have scope as a career point of view and how can i grow if i join the company?
Hi Tanmay. I do not have an answer to yoru question. My guess is Amazon is a good place to work, and having it on your resume will help with your future prospects. Since you have been hired into this role already, you may have received the the job description giving an overview of your responsibilities. I would recommend you go through that and if necessary, connect with someone who has done a similar role to understand what career and growth in the field look like.
Just want to mention how "selling yourself " is not fair. Not everyone has that talent, that's like racism to me. Maybe person is smart, talented, just little bit shy, scared, or just not that fluent, or just not " sale person ". I hate this approach. Girl is very cute:)
Hi Jadhav. Fair comment, but I don’t agree (definitely not with the racism bit). Selling yourself is something that can be learned and practiced. If you are a naturally reserved person and consider this way out of your comfort zone, then it might just be harder/ draining compared to someone who enjoys doing it. It would be up to you to use this knowledge in deciding if you want to take this up and maybe work on your weakness or identify some other job that aligns with your strengths. One of the reasons why I do these interviews is to identify the tasks on the job and what skills are needed for it. More importantly, understand if these skills resonate with you. I believe this will help you get a better picture of if and how you can perform on the job.
Does a Compliance Analyst have a future in this field in the long run? And I think there are not too many jobs for this role as compared to a Software Developer

Every company no matter what field it’s in will need a compliance analyst and that’s because of regulations. Every business must comply with regulations and compliance analyst gets paid very well..

Hi Krutika. There must be. Shreshta was a fresher when she started working in Compliance. I am not aware if there are forums specifically for hiring into compliance, but generally speaking you should be able to find opportunities on LinkedIn, Glassdoor and Internshala.

Difficult for me to answer because I go through such doubts while reviewing opportunities too. I don't think age should be a concern for you to get started on this job, but it would depend on if the employer has such a preference for age, which I hope they don't.

No need any training for this field you need good communication skill only communication skill help you to enter this field little bit knowledge about KYC and banking and come to my life I wanted to become a software engineer with civil engineering certificate I learnt lot of courses like SQL SERVER DBA, Software testing, java and some tools and now I had done interview with good and reputed mnc for KYC Analyst and I selected for it and waiting for offer. This is life we do one degree, we think to do one job and we finally land another job any way ALL IS WELL. I wanted to say that I really don't know about KYC Analyst unless I applied to it, be genuine and answer with attractive atitude you will get it 😉.

This is the worst job for Computer science engineers, I am working for microsoft as a senior complaince analyst most of the responcibilities she explained is now automated. Basically its a MBA job.
