Very good video, even relevant for "real life" Jtac trainees

Line two is wrong. Line two is the heading from the aircraft holding point to the target. The final attack heading can be set in the remarks.

Final attack heading should be in restrictions.

    What is a "realism unit"?

I was wondering, how does the Pilot know where the BP and IP are?

    • @ashleymock4941

For IP. It's as simple as slewing your pod to the grid let's say 055123 is IP Foxtrot, you would slew your tgt pod to it and you would be able to follow that to it or the JTAC can mark it on the map for you. For BP it's roughly the same.

At 6:19 you said anything **less than 5 meters**. Would this not be considered unacceptably close for CAS ( in the real world)?

Einsatzgruppen Commander real world less than 5 meters is fratricide with almost any munition. Danger close is determined by the munition itself and if Friendlies are within that danger close distance then yes the JTAC and shooter will need commanders approval before giving clearance

      Care to elaborate?

We are primarily infantry and our 9-line are simple due to most of our pilots being regular joes who don’t do this in real life
Obviously DCS units will do it better because DCS is an air focused game whereas Arma 3 is infantry

Also considering all Sgts have to learn this (which is why I’m here I’m a new Sgt) we keep it simple
