A company usually dies when the passionate founders are bought out and cost-cutting measures are put into place. Too many people in the business world are worried about quarterly sales and profit margins and not enough about consistency and customer loyalty.

Some do. My LT pulled a mini bottle from one a week ago. Wasn't even a very old MRE. Wasn't even expired. I think there might be some limited runs or somethin.
It has a quick burn in front which turns into a slow warming in the back of your mouth. When you exhale, you taste a slight fruitiness which is fleeting. It is really a clean, pepper sauce without extra seasonings.. cluttering up the balance. That's why it goes with Everything.
Reasonable for what it is...but not very competitive compared to most “Louisiana” sauces like franks, Louisianan etc. Still no comparison though imo, so worth the higher cost. We use Tabasco typically for cooking and marinades...while thicker sauces like franks or Texas Pete is good for things like buffalo wings and dipping.
I’m from the U.K and live in Wales, I have found out recently on ancestry DNA on my fathers mother side of the family which are Irish that I’m distance relatives of the McIlhenny family the made this Tabasco and also invented the gas meters, it’s been an interesting journey looking up all of this.

I'm a fan of hot sauces, and always have at least 3 or 4 different brands/types on hand. But the one I always have is Tabasco, in the big bottle. I've been using it for about 55 years now, and it's amazing how consistent it is. Their aging process just gives it that unique flavor. What's funny is that just a few hours ago, I was staring at my new bottle of Tabasco, and musing over how it's produced. Then this showed up in my algorithm.
I wish Tabasco would offer a less diluted version of their sauce. I'd love to buy of bottle of straight three year old mash and I'd be willing to pay a lot for it.

Huge in Japan too. I am curious cause the amount of care and laborious process of having an entire island dedicated to growing pepper seeds and aged for three years. What I don't get is they hardly mentioned the vinegar. There are so many different types of vinegar from different regions with different flavours and maturity and it is a major part of this sauce. But they just say "vinegar" as if they don't care where it came from or how it is produced.
