I swear the mist came just to give you another cinematic tableau. The image of the roofing team putting in that huge beam really illustrated how big the chateau is in a way I've never seen it before.
I’ve said this many weeks ago, why aren’t we at 200 thousand plus subscribers. This journey and the incredible restoration of this historic landmark have been going on for years and for those of us who have been with you from the beginning we continue to see that amazing progress. The work is immense and at times I’m sure a bit overwhelming but we remain with you. It is breathtaking…..
Magnificent! Really there are no words, so just thank you for sharing your project. Wow. 🤯🫶 By the way, your cinematography has gotten quite good! The time lapse on lifting the stones was really cool. Those cranes are just insane in every respect and the fact that they can move is incredible too. And even the relatively "simple" step of cutting the top beam for the roof was cool to watch. Heck! Just the carbide cutting wheel trimming the face of that stone like butter was really cool! ... and the guy explaining how the cement behaves between the blocks! And really cool how you integrated the fog into the whole narrative. You guys are really getting good at this stuff!!!❤

Thanks for your message and for your generous support of our project. We're very grateful. We're thrilled that you're enjoying our journey. We look forward to sharing our next steps.
Love that this video is the first one in my feed! I find your videos so calming! Here in America we have a little election on Tuesday and I need all the calming I can get!😜
Sooooooo glad to see the third archway restored. For some reason, that bothered me more than the decrepit condition of the moat walls, lol. The original, intended symmetry is being resurrected.
I can't imagine what it will belike when these workers leave--a sad moment for everyone, but it's wonderful to think that they can take pride in their efforts and might one day bring family to see and point out that they had a part in restoring this beautiful building
Yes we do appreciate the skill and hard work of all those artisans! We have learned so much about the skills they have that have been passed down thru generations and why certain techniques are used. I have enjoyed these videos! The visual quality along with the relaxing music are a treat to view and enjoy. Keep up your good work.
I applaud the Stonemasons, Craftmen and Builders. They have done a magnificent job in this restoration. Well done everyone involved.👏👏👏🥂🍻 3 Cheers to you all. 🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘

Thank you for acknowledging our incredible artisans - without them, saving Chateau de Purnon would be impossible.
Truly the high point of (most of) my weeks! I pour a glass of (French) wine and watch your magic unfold. After three months the renovation of our très moderne (1985) bathrooms has begun, I can only imagine what three years of occasional surprises is like for you. Best of luck & stay the course!

The month from about 20th October to about 20th November was renamed 'Brumaire' in the short lived French Revolutionary calendar in the 1790s. Brumaire means 'foggy' or 'misty' month.
This is a world treasure...impeccable effort for a wonder at its inception. Thank you both for the extraordinary work efforts and quality workmanship ..This has been such a historical education.
The roof tops with the chimneys poking thru look like they have been brought back to when they first decorated the chateau ..amazing photography…the fog is magical.⭕️🦋⭕️
That opening sentiment made my upcoming week. Straight out of a dramatic and inspirational film. We can work in the fog and with patience, the work will get done and the fog will eventually clear. This is an obvious point, but it struck me how something maybe not originally a priority, like the moat, becomes one because of safety. Though, there are a lot of doors and entry points on the…would that bottom servant floor be considered the basement or the rez-de-chaussée? So, it’s all a rich tapestry of reasons, no doubt.
This restoration is so incredible to watch every time! The massive scale of the Chateau is incredible as well. I would have liked to have seen how they built it back in the day without the modern conveniences of today.
The opening drone shots of the fog surrounding the chateau was as breathtakingly spectacular as the craftsmanship of your artisans ❤❤❤❤❤ It’s simply wonderful to watch this chateau becoming whole and beautiful again ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Quel bonheur...
How absolutely beautiful that you honored the hearts and souls of those who also called this home. We are all part of one loved family, here -and there. I am sure you feel their now-complete Love… from there! They are loving this. God bless you all.
This chateau warms my heart. I wish I could go back in time for a while and walk the halls and rooms and see the glory and beauty of this home In its prime. If only time travel was possible!
It is going to be stunning. I think there is beauty in the mist, it is a like a cloak of secrecy covering the work and waiting for the reveal. You so need to source a large fountain to sit at the front of the circle.
You two are FEARLESS for😢 taking on these massive projects. It must be really gratifying to have the work completed and knowing you are preserving history
Your enthusiasm and excitement are both palpable and charming. It's amazing that you've been under scaffolding for so long. It's interesting to watch walls being rebuilt with old-plus-new techniques. And filming in the fog must be difficult, but you did it beautifully. Thanks.
Bonjour Felicity and Tim, the work Matthieu, Sebastien and of course Frederic, along with their team do such remarkable work down to the last detail. The back wall is a big job, I can't wait to see the progression as they work towards restoring it back. I love seeing Purnon is the eerie fog. Well done to everybody. Love from N.Y.
What a remarkable opportunity to bring these gifted artisans/builders together to restore this landmark - I think I will always be more impressed with the the skill and the accomplishment of your exterior roof and stone work than anything done on the interior - I hope all of you receive the recognition for collectively saving the wonder of France's architecture - so often it takes outsiders with the finance and bravery like yourselves - I hope you are very proud of yourselves and propelling this endeavour.
Wow, it's really coming together! I find your channel fascinating. Sharing the history, explaining why things were done originally and new work going on. Thank you, Jerry from Ohio

Thanks for your message and for following our journey.
I have been meaning to ask this question for ages: I have seen historic homes get massive scaffolding put up with a kind of shrink wrap put up over it and the craftspeople work under it (so it is set up with quite a bit of room between it and the building) even if huge stones need to go in - they remove that bit and then put the shrink wrap back on - this protects the whole building from the elements while you are working on it - even if it was put over the bit you had yet to work on: was this not available for one reason or another? Seeing the rain pour in was so stressful- and I have no skin in the game - so I can’t even imagine what it was like for you! The work is truly remarkable and on a governmental scale - wow 🤯 just inspirational- and the way you guys muck in and just keep going! It’s amazing!
Great to see the progress on the way to saving ang preserving this lovely château for the future - the craftsmen deserve a medal the size of a frying pan.
