As you get further in the sim points drastically go up. Actually had Jonathan Dahlen at age 37 with 107 assists. That was a little absurd but the points really do go up as you progress in franchise. Hopefully they adjust things next year so the point production starts from season 1
Yeah, the game is called a game because its unrealistic. If you want to be realistic, than there should only be 3-4 elites per draft, maybe more but that isn't realistic either. Why don't you complain about that? And the free agency, why don't you complain about that?
EA Sim Engine at it again. I just simmed as the Ottawa senators and guess who won.,... Tampa XD. Vas had a .935 during Regular season and .930 during Playoffs. and Stamkos Kuch both had 80+ points. Like it makes no sense XD

I just was using My First years Computer Controlled Tampa Sim. Example Tax was barely .500 Record halfway through the season with 29/27 record Most sims they are around .750 Record. His Top Guys by the end barely had 70 points, Where in most Computer sims they all average 85+ Points. and Vas simmed Terribly where computers sims very well.
I've said it once, I will say it again - it's because of the superstar difficulty. Everything is harder, trades, contracts etc. Stacked team doesn't guarantee you a cup just the same as in real life. Stack this team on rookie and you will see the difference
Funny thing about trading an AHL Tampa player to Buffalo is he doesn't have to travel far from their AHL team since Syracuse, Buffalo itself and their AHL team Rochester are all the 3 main cities in that part of New York. Of course Vancouver's AHL team is Utica which is another smaller city in the same area too. Which so reminds me of the Simpsons Skinner/Chalmers meme. And I like cheering for Tampa since Tyler Johnson is from my city and player for our WHL team too even, but I can't hate on the underdog beating them. I even liked the Lighting before he played for them though, I like cheering for local guys in all the sports besides when they actually play against the local team. My favorite NHL team actually is going to be Seattle. I have been waiting and hoping for 20 years for a team in Seattle and I am not too into any other team to not change my allegiance to my most local team. I cheer for pretty much all teams from WA state. I have many teams I like to cheer for in the NHL and some I hate and never like to see win, lol. But Seattle will be #1 for me when they start for sure.
EA hopefully spends a lot of time fixing franchise mode because it's becoming more and more popular but the drafts are so unbalanced and players on user controlled teams never do well in the sim engine. By the drafts I mean it shouldn't be that easy to get a Elite+ pot guy. After a few years you can get at least one per draft but two isn't that uncommon for me.
I had the same-ish glitch with petterson. Saw him as an RFA got him for a second round pick. Then I made an offer t the end of the summer but he wouldn't accept or deny.
The sim is so broken especially in the playoffs. We all know upsets happen but you have virtually no chance when you have a great team. I just had a 130 point teams with 3 100 point scores, the Hart and Vezina winners a +110 goal differential and 3 50 point scorers on defense and of course we promptly lost in 5 games to a team with 46 less points. The best chance to win on the game is build a middle tier team with a goalie around an 82, squeak into the playoffs and then watch that 82 goalie look like the second coming of Dominik Hasek.
Please please please look into the Calgary hitmen alumni team last time you said their is no goalie when we have Martin Jones you also said that it would be half AHL players but they would also have top players like Ryan Getzlaf and Justin Falk

Players poise ratings play a really big role in the consistency in playoff sim. Sometimes it doesn’t matter but for the most part it usually does.
