I love that this is the first game that acnowledges that you know how to catch a pokemon. All the others show you even if you have a second member on your team.
I'm semi-glad the forced encounter comes before you have Pokeballs, makes things easier for Nuzlockes as you don't have to worry about always getting the same encounter. This fight with Totally Not The Box Legendary is very similar to the first battle in Persona 4, come to think of it. I wonder if some of these British phases come across as really cringe-y to actual British people. I feel like it's probably the equivalent of people in an Australia-based region saying "mate" and "bonza" every sentence. Apparently a lot of the Hawaiian in the Alola games is unintentionally funny to people who actually speak it. (The first area is literally called "Hello Trail") But anyway, "pants" in British English means underwear, not what Americans and Australians call pants. (Which are called trousers in England) Saying something is "pants" is basically the same as saying it's "a bit crap".
Kinda random, but now that gen 8 is out, I hope they release another Pokemon Mystery dungeon game in 2020 (or even 2021 if needed) for the switch :P Nice playthrough so far, you do a great job of explaining everything in simple terms without making it seem boring. Not sure exactly why but your playthroughs are always very entertaining, even compared to other creators I enjoy.
BTW, even though you have the Run option during the encounter with the ??? Pokémon, choosing it just gives you a message that you can't run away for some reason, and doesn't use up your turn, so you do have to choose to fight 3 times there to progress the scene. (11:49) I noticed the Poké Balls immediately when I checked my bag to see how much money Mum had given me. So, I used them to catch stuff on Route 1 up ahead.
Hey Marriland! I've recently found you on TH-cam again (i've been watching your video's for years) and i'm glad that you are still making video's! I have a question. Do you have plans to ever do another wedlocke series again? I've always love to play along side your series and see how I did compared to you. I'd love to do a wedlocke in Shield but it feels so boring not to play alongside someone else x). I totally understand if it's not your thing anymore! But I'm super curious if you have planned to do one in the future :)
Woofs making fog just to keep people out, but people come in anyway... Rude. The "move has no effect" idea reminds me of the ghosts in Gen 1's Pokemon Tower, so it's kind of cool to see them doing something like that again. So when is a character gonna say "Bloomin' 'eck"? That's my favorite weird British slang.
At first I thought I just missed it, or wasn't paying attention, but the game doesn't tell you when you get the pokéballs. Still nice that you can catch some pokémon before you get the tutorial though.

I think Pants at Directions means; Rubbish, Worthless. . . means Leon is Terrible with Directions; and Just like Roronoa Zoro, Leon couldn't find his way out of a Wet Paper Bag. . .
I plan on doing two things in both sword and shield and that is to beat everyone and also to fill out the complete Pokédex in both games especially by using Pokémon home basic or free version of Pokémon home
As an Ash x Serena shipper, I have to say this. In the slumbering Weald, if Ash was the one to say “I can’t see anything!” When the fog comes in, I can imagine Serena just getting close to him and hugging him in fear with that cute scared look on her face.

Hey Marriland, as a long time fan, I just want to point out one thing; I don't know if the amount of views you are getting lately (especially for this series) is bothering you or not, but if it is, I believe it is because that doing a "walkthrough" feels (and sounds) a bit... for the lack of a better term... "generic/guide-like" which, is totally fine don't get me wrong, but it *does not attract that much interest (and so views)* as much as a regular playthrough (especially when playing the game first time, when you don't know what is gonna happen next and so your reactions would feel more genuine and engaging for the audience), that is why I already kinda lost interest in watching you play this game and so will be checking out another "let's player" instead. I know you said before that you don't want to do "let's play/playthroughs" and that's totally fine if you love what you are doing now and aren't concerned all that much with the TH-cam viewership. I just wanted to give you my 2 cents on the matter as a long term fan! :]

I know that the “walkthrough” style is different, but at the same time, it’s really impossible to compete with TH-camrs that play early copies and blaze through the game so they have every video up within a day or two. While my TH-cam channel is definitely nowhere near where it was and hasn’t been for a long time, my website has been absolutely booming, blowing the pants off the views and reach of my TH-cam channel, and this walkthrough style is perfect for embedding in the site’s walkthrough since each page can have an accompanying video. With all of the craziness going on with TH-cam in regards to how it treats its creators and how people can lose their channel or revenue at any time, I’m glad to not be dependent on TH-cam anymore. I’m making videos with a very specific purpose, and, although I know it’s not the style my videos have been up until recently, it’s the style I’ve always wanted to do even back in the days of Diamond and Pearl, and I think that, given enough time, it will be helpful to more people than loosely structured Let’s Play-style videos would ever be. Thanks for the feedback, though, and no worries if you want to watch someone else with a more traditional LP style! But if you ever get stuck or want to find any items or Pokémon easily while playing, I hope you’ll find it easy to do so by navigating either the site’s walkthrough or the video walkthrough since it will be easy to find exactly the location you’re looking for!
