@@jetfrostgaming Ok I thought about it and I'd be interested in seeing you do a video on landing on the back of a frigate, especially if you first enter a hover behind the ship and then need to make adjustments to your position while you come in for a landing. And also in various wind conditions.
Gonna try this for sure. Running CSAR missions in a dynamic campaign and they are always on the side of a damn hill. Have been banking hard and using almost full rudder the same direction to 'drift', while pitching down like 45 degree but then i always raise altitude just enough for the sa-19 to eat me
I am running the Logitech Extreme 3D with a Throttle slider on the base. I have been flying using the slider as collective, with Throttle buttons set to full on the keyboard, no matter what amount of collective i am using at anygiven time. Is that best for this limited joystick or is there a way to tie the throttle/collective together on the slider?
PAN, the Huey engine is governed although has limitations. All flying should be done with throttle fully open. There are times when throttle is reduced during flight, like when entering auto rotation. As the collective is lowered the throttle is wound back to idle. The fwd speed is kept around 60 to 70 knots and it's airflow which keeps the rotor spinning, then engine provides no drive to the rotor in this state.. There's heaps more lol... keep flying Bush Ranger Red
Hi What do you do to not gain altitude at 1:12 when pulling the stick to you? and also, What is dump trim? do you dump power by lower the collective or to thrust the handle to lower rpm's? takeoff and landing are the most difficult for me so far. Thank you for this guide and tutorial. Best wishes pervert.
Late I know but to not climb when pulling back on the cyclic you must lower the collective. Forget trim, it's nothing like fixed wing. And NEVER lower engine RPM, fly at full throttle at all times. Sorry I'm late
@@SerialDelta Hi And thanks for replying back! Aha ok so that is how it's done! You flew so smoothly so i were curious! Thank you and cheers! No worries for the late comment!
PHEWEE!! Just getting into this beauty and THIS was really baffling me (LOADS of crashing!!).
Thanks 👍👍👍
Im happy to hear that it works for you now.
Good tutorial. That nice balance rather than pitching back hard, dropping the collective and watching people settle with power.
Thank you much!
Thank you. This was very helpful. I just bought Huey and Apache yesterday but had issues with landings. I feel like I just unlocked a superpower.
I'm glad you found it useful! If you had another topic you wanted more insight on, let me know.
Thank you, gonna try this next time, my landings take way too much time right now.
great tutorial! I love this helicopter. I'd be interested to see other tutorials from you on the Huey.
Thanks, anything in particular you're looking for?

Smooth!
thanks homes
Lower collective. Aft cyclic. Once you feel the shutter of ETL have that collective easing in.
Hey, I’ve about 12 hours in the Huey. Still love to see videos like this.
Could you do a video on how to land in trees? I always end up whacking my tail off them.
@@OCinneide Depends on the amount of trees, but I'll see what I can do!
@@jetfrostgaming The trees from the campaign. Basically you have to land in a tiny clearing. It took me a lot of attempts before I could do it.

If you cant distinguish the difference between power and lowering collective then you ought not give lessons.
