I think I ate the same MRE as you. I gotta say the breakfast and dinner blew me away how good the were (though it's still not bolognese but it's good meal anyway). Lunch though I hated it. Not enough seasoning and just bland. Overall I think it's quite good. The coffee could be left out haha
Lovely video. Have to say am surprised they put such bad instant coffee in our MRE. Slovenia has it's own coffe brands, at least one makes very decent instant coffees. Can send some over for testing if its the same taste and just cultural zastes differ or the ministry skimped out on instant coffee [of all the things].
Completely agree that you should never skimp on a soldiers coffee. I've tried coffee from across Europe, and normally I love it! Maybe it was just a bad batch. Thank you for your offer to send some. Please tell me about the Prepping scene in Slovenia.
@@DeepintheBunker They did use the off brand pate. The premium brand is even better. So I wouldn't put it past them to skimp on coffee as well. As for prepper scene. I think its virtually non-existant or everywhere. All depends on yoir perspective. Like most Eastern or southern Europeans, everyone's mum and nan have a larder or basement filled with preserves, cans and the like. Many even have gardens as hobbies to grow something. Not because there is a shortage of food or money, but out of a sport of hobbit-like growing something. Don't know of many people who don't have a decent food storage of some sort. My mum gets quite anxious if you can see part of the wall in her larder. Needs to be filled up popper. Edit:I have friends who have no idea how much beans or tomatoes cost because of their hobbit grandparents supplying them with their hobby.
