I regret more that the present public does not recognize the music of Lime, I would have fun to the point of exhaustion, in my youth every Saturday I danced with much enthusiasm and energy the songs of Lime, but those times have already passed. I just saw them last Sat at a Disco Festival at the Quiet Cannon in Montebello. They were great. Took me back to when I was in my 20's. What an era that was, that wonderful Disco Era ! We would get all dressed up and danced the night away😏

It's my understanding that Denis Lepage passed last year in August. I am heart broke that such a great artist is no longer with us. His and Denyse's music was transcendent, and far ahead of it's time. Definite staples in dance music history and my playlists.

This song was so ahead of his time with those synthesizers right in 1981 I know about the history of the band and how back in the day the maile Singer actually played both parts. I believe he played Dennis and Denise and that the woman singing with him here is a replacement for the Denise Part this band deserves a movie because of that it's one of the more interesting stories in disco music

@jeffthekillercriticremixer5968. Wrong. Denis Lepage and Denyse Savaria (later Lepage) was Lime. The woman singing with "him" here is Joy Dorris and "him" is Rob Hubertz. Chris Marsh used to tour with Joy as Lime in earlier years.These two (three) has nothing to do with Lime. The record company wanted two younger musicians to tour as Lime. Back in the day Denyse was fully capable to sing her female voice herself. Denis and Denyse made 8 Lime albums together, the last one Love Fury was made by Denis and other musicians. Not to forget their side projects Step By Step, Lepage, Magnum, Voggue and more. :-) You are right about that they were ahead of their time.
@ I agree Denise was a falsetto but I also read a book about the stars of disco and they had a chapter in it and in fact later in his career Denise did a dentnisdid a tour as Denise he also sang on a few other groups songs at Denise from what the article said yes the record company wanted better looking people for the life tour and if you look at Google photos there are never any pictures with Dennis and Denise in the same photo except for screenshots from the video for we're going to love tonight which is also shot via split screen if you look at it closely

She and Chris Marsh (not seen here) were hired to perform live (and in a few of the videos) as Lime decades ago. While Denis (now Nini Nobless) didn't have a problem with it at the time, Denyse was never really happy about the arrangement as she enjoys live performance and touring. While touring in the 80's, Joy and Chris sang to the tracks live, so it wasn't a Milli Vanilli scenario. They never claimed to be Denis and Denyse. Denyse now owns the trademark to the name Lime and wants to tour with the name herself, which I can understand completely. This isn't really a good guy vs. bad guy situation. I can see both sides, and I love everyone involved with Lime and respect their viewpoints. The saddest part, to me, is that Nini Nobless gets absolutely no share of any revenue generated by the legacy of Lime, having sold her rights years ago. She's living a rough life, but seems happy being herself. So much success and sadness in the Lime story. To the people saying these are the Lepage's children, no they aren't. Denis and Denyse had one daughter together, who isn't a performer as far as I'm aware. The odd thing is that in "Babe We're Gonna Love Tonight," we hear Denyse's vocals, but Rob is singing live. Not sure what happened there, as there are lots of videos out there of Joy singing live.

Yes, the female in Lime sounded like Minnie Mouse but their records were so well-arranged and had such great hooks that no one cared. The guy in the original Lime just sort of growled his vocal part and yet... it all worked! I remember when "Babe We're Gonna Love Tonight" would start playing people would RUN to the dance floor; it was an electrifying record. This audience looks like they are attending a Kiwanis Club meeting. Never mind the lime, they needed a few strong margaritas! At least the little girl in the back is getting her groove on.

Yes, the female in Lime sounded like Minnie Mouse but their records were so well-arranged and had such great hooks that no one cared. The guy in the original Lime just sort of growled his vocal part and yet... it all worked! I remember when "Babe We're Gonna Love Tonight" would start playing people would RUN to the dance floor; it was an electrifying record. This audience looks like they are attending a Kiwanis Club meeting. Never mind the lime, they needed a few strong margaritas! At least the little girl in the back is getting her groove on.
