Jennie's not the other rapper she's technically the rapper of the group. Lisa is the dancer, Rose the vocal, Jisoo the visual. They can all do the things though.

@Kate Moore visual is not just looks in Kpop. Being the visual means your the one who gets the most ad deals and commercialized in Korea. Like acting, and hosting. As we know, jisoo is extremely smart, fits perfectly with the korean beauty standards (even raises the standard) and presents herself well. Shes the most liked member in Korea so shes doing her job just fine.

This was the first ever solo of the group and in a time where Blackpink just got more famous so they couldn’t be too risky with this
The word play in the chorus is intended to sound like the b word (in lives she says the b word)
She is def the least bubblegum one out of the group and in real life too

Imo Jennie is def the more like aggressive authentic rapper while Lisa is more like the swaggy,mainstream(in a good way)pop friendly rapper

She's done a remake of this song "Solo Remix at the show" where she raps 2/3rd of the song and with a completely different cadence to the original.
I don't know if you keep up with comments on old videos, but just in case, something maybe worth checking out is BabyMonster. Its a new girl group and 2 members from BlackPink, 2 members from a Guy group Winner and a Brother/Sister duo called Akmu have helped train them.
I doubt their music will be to my taste considering the groups age (13 - 20yrs) but their individual talent is undeniably monstrous, hence the name i guess and people are devouring all the content they can gather at this point when it comes to reaction videos. Each member, there are 7, have a 1 minute 30 second live performance taken from their monthly evaluation as trainees where they cover songs + a Dance Performance video. Might be worth doing a 2 part video, member 1-3 + performance video, then 4-7. Or just all in one whichever you prefer.
They haven't released a single one of their own songs yet, but just their intro videos i talked about are already getting tens of millions of views, so interest is high for the group at the moment.

@Johnny Bender - Not a problem. Never took it as an insult coming from a bad place. Of course there’s a “pink” side to their music with pop elements. While Jennie is technically designated “Main” and Lisa as “Lead” rapper, I personally think they are equal in this area but with different cadence. Was just hoping you aren’t sleeping on Jennie’s skills. She goes hard, especially during Live Shows. Much respect to you guys and appreciate the BP content!

Hmm.. not necessarily the "Beyoncé" of the group since I know some people view that negatively in that they consider Beyoncé to completely outshine her group members.

I don’t know if you’ve seen my other comment on Lisa’s video I just posted but yeah. You still got them mixed up. Lisa is the “sporty” rapper that David liked in Shut Down, and Jennie is the “gangsta” rapper you liked in Shut Down 😂 so you got your favs mixed up. So basically the girl in the black claw bathtub rapping in Shut Down, that’s Jennie, not Lisa. Also the one you liked in Pink Vemon with the “cadence” that’s Jennie.

@@C-Iris Yeah, and they’ve been doing it since the beginning so at this point..I think they both just like both of them. They mixed them up from the beginning but then went on to say they liked rapping style of the “wrong” rapper more in some videos so yeah they just like them both 😂

U know why jennie doesn't rap that much? Only bcoz if jennie take the rap parts their songs would always be jennie ft. Blackpink because she always have the most lines on their songs, but if u want her to rap, go watch her raps on live and concerts, u will figure out there why she's the best rapper of kpop.

Let me be Honest, BLACKPINK is like a dr*g, when you start you can't get over it, but on the other side of the coin, BLACKPINK have a limited amount of videos and songs, what are you going to do after you are done with it ?? live perfomances then dance practice then what ? If you actually enjoy BLACKPINK and you want to know them better, there will be 500+ videos for you to record reactions too etc... but if you are doing it just for the views well then you are in a big trouble
Hello! I am a big fan of Blackpink but if you want rap rap like fire rap with a deep meaning I highly reccomend you guys react to BTS and specifically Cypher part 1, 2, 3 and 4 or Daeng or Ugh. If you react to those you better put english subs on maybe after that go watch on youtube the video explaination of Daeng and Ugh because they are full of genial korean cultural references and other stuff.
