Wait he put pressure on mark Robins every year and needs to be in the playoffs ? But now he doesn't want to pressure the Frank lampard ?
Everything that comes out of King's mouth is "truth challenged". Last week he said on TalkSport that he had no contact with Lampard at all, Then he said the process wasn't rushed. And am i expected to believe that Del Boy Redknapp hasn't contacted him like he did for Lampard at Derby.
@@PeteStanner4567Now he said he had several meetings with Frank! 🧐
Not every year. 3 in 5. But we ended up in the relegation zone and things were not in place to reverse that
3 playoffs in 5 years, with the breakup of Robins and Viveash everything changed and here we are now. I'm sure once the dust settles and Lampard has his coat off then targets will be set.
So you believe external people with no sources other than being "in the know" @@PeteStanner4567
Shame he didn't give Robins any time
There’s a saying you can waste money, but you can’t waste time .
Deeney acting like he has somewhere else to be constantly on his phone🤣
He's thick.
Thick trying to be clever, that never works.
Ordering a macky from chembo
How do Rooney and Lampard keep getting jobs?
Robins sacked because of results, but no pressure on Lampard because he’s got two and a half years to sort things out ……….🙄
Ah but robins wasn’t sacked because of the results on their own.
Also, who on earth hires someone and expects them to do something akin to Arne slot at Liverpool or conte at Chelsea. It’s not realistic to expect that
I don't think he really knows what he's doing
Definitely a straight talking, genuine owner which is nice to see, hopefully Frank does really well.
He hasn't a clue . We have been dumped with too many rubbish defenders and overloaded with underperforming strikers and no decent midfield
Don't get me started on the keepers
@deematty45 he's a gaslighting owner.
@cheeseisclever I'm not sure about gas lighting but he's proven with this appointment that he's not very clued up. When all around you can see clubs improving and doing so by getting in coaches that are not household names but have a track record of success.
We have gone the complete opposite.
@@deematty46 100% right there's no experience in the board and directors. And now the team. Need the old boys back on the pitch, Doyle could come back? Have him as player manager.
Coventry and Plymouth for relegation or to BARELY avoid it.
That would be Plymouth regardless of who was in charge
Great appointment, it's really surprised me how little the neutral fans know about our club. Let's continue this discussion in May 2026.
Well said.
Fair play to Doug
In Doug we trust
Frank will be off to a better job if he does well with Coventry.
Of course he will, and I wouldn't blame him. Doug King has zero loyalty, so he should understand. But, it's a big IF, whether he does well or not.
Thanks for breaking the news Sam
Doug King is a no nonsense owner.
Sacking Robins was a mistake you fool
He's a nonsense owner alright.
Harry Redknapp,terrible decision
Got 6 months then😂😂😂😂
Is this yet another owner like Birmingham, Hull etc that's as clueless as a stone???
Not at all, Doug King is a smart cookie and is transforming the club from the ground up.
@RealmsOfThePossible no Stadium? Perhaps that's first thing to buy .... but majority of Coventry fans who message me on my TH-cam channel say he's got no idea!
it's well documented that King tried to purchase the stadium, and was even the highest bidder but Wasps sold to Mike Ashley.
Coventry will go down with lampard
I would have thought the first target is to avoid relegation, which at the moment is a distinct possibility. And let's not forget what happened to Birmingham after they appointed Wayne Rooney.
Alex with more Twitter information that’s way off the mark. How has this guy got to where he is.
I hope it works as I want the sky blues to do well.but I'm not convinced this will work. I think you need to be realistic Coventry are not a big club budget wise It would have made more sense to get someone who is seen as over performing on a modest budget.there are young hungry managers out there like scubula who might have been a better fit
There must be a perfectly logical reason why Doug King would want Conventry Relegated to EFL League One there any financial regulations they can avoid? Is it easier to spend and build a club in EF League One before promotion to the EFL Championship?
This will end badly. Ask Chelsea and Everton, both sacked him
All the time in the world when you're back in league one for employing a grifter as a manager
Crooky out
Doug King is just full of iit, he doesn't have a clue
Celebrity appointment again
Oh Dougie, get ready for relegation, then blame Robins.
