He is my cousin, self made, a man who was given nothing, and his dad my uncle Joe was one of coolest dudes you could ever meet. Jim is nothing but class.
I am a Costco employee for the last four years. To say I'm honored to work for Costco is an understatement. I wonder if people know how well this company treats its employees? I got the job at a time in my life when I was at the lowest point I had ever been and didn't know how I was going to survive. I'm thriving now and am so grateful. I love going into work and love telling people where I work, and I give it my all. If all corporations did what Costco did can you imagine how different life would be? Jim Sinegal is THE saint of retail, period.
Jim Sinegal - you won’t see this, but, THANK YOU for creating such an incredible company that does such an amazing job of taking care of its employees!!!
This, the dude basically helped to write his own "contract", in it as the CEO he couldn't make more than $ 350,000 a year and could be fired like any other employee if he didn't do his job well. This man is a diamond in the sea of founders and CEOs. He deserves so much respect for his high business ethics.
Thanks to the b-school prof for a great interview with Mr. Jim Sinegal making this fun and insightful to watch at the same time! Thank you Jim . Costco has the best quality and great price, God bless you... Your strategy working low price more sales, I Cannot stop my self spending...
If he raised the prices of just basics like chicken and bread by 50% , all the same people would still buy it and he would be a billionaire but his life would probably suck.
Not slick of the interviewer to talk for 37362 minutes telling the audience the Costco story while the man who created it sits right there not getting a word in lol

The moderator? Lol he sucked
Reminds me of Warren Buffet. Very congenial and humble. Great to see.
Except WB is a billionaire that hasn't created anything and JS is a non billionaire who created something unique that a lot of people know without knowing him at all.
Thank you Jim . Costco has the best quality and great price, God bless you...

Let the man speak
One hour well spent.
‘We dont sell guns and marijuana’..’They stopped selling cigarettes. Awww! Bless tehir dear hearts. Costco is the kind of capitalism i can get behind
The moderator needs to stop making comments while he's talking.
Wrong. Price Club started in 1976, Costco opened in 1983. Merged in 1993. Both CEO's worked together previously at Fedmart.
Robert, & Sol Price (father/son) started Price Club.
You can skip first 8 minutes of introduction which filled with flat jokes of interviewer and go straight to Jim’s speech
I know his granddaughter, Victoria!
The co-“presidents” pronounced Hidalgo with perfect foreign inflection, but couldn’t figure out how to pronounce the name Sol.
If he raised the prices of just basics like chicken and bread by 50% , all the same people would still buy it and he would be a billionaire but his life would probably suck.
Interesting
The twiching foot of the moderators is making me nervous
Even Iceland?!😅
Costco Opean doors for jobs for many peoples

I don't appreciate the ego-personality of the moderator!
Ya he looks like one of those prep school guys who looks more the part then is the part
I don’t like the interviewer
