I like how in these documentaries - its not all fun and games, and glitter and makeup and fake smiles. Its emotion, and shows how human she is. Like, shes angry, yelling, smiling, sad, tired, joking, relaxing and genuenly feeling its just incredible that an artist can be so open and forthcoming with who they are and accept that, as well as having the courage to display themselves in such a way that makes them seem more relatible as a person and accessible even though they live on the other side of the world to you. Its crazy man. And it makes me feel like its okay to be a person and its okay to be human.
I want a 5 hour documentary of this

the reason is connect to halsey in such a deep manner is cause whatever she writes there’s always a line that strikes a chord, hits just a little to close to home. and the day i went to her concert she talked about how some shit is just universal and that’s why we connect as humans. i’ll never forget that. she thanked us for allowing her to be with us while we figure shit out, for letting her soundtrack our lives in a way. thank u for soundtracking my life ashley, thank u for writing the shit i thought i would never be able to find the words for. thank u for being with us

Ya know. Halsey is the first artist i fell in love with but is as real as she is. I remember finding her when i was in middle school and her music just hit me so different because how real it was. I could say “hey i have those feeling and they are in a song and just singing to it helps ME get it out”. Halsey is not just this artist i love, she really is a person i want to meet and talk to. Thats how i feel and i have never felt that way about an artist. The only exception is tom holland but he is an actor lol. Anyways i love watching these videos and im seeing Halsey AND ashley. Growing up and learning myself so far, people would see me and say “well your southern and country and dress like it so thats who you are” just for me to be in an anmoe shirt listening to k-pop and wearing converse the next day. Or then be in a dress hair done and makeup. Halsey helped me really realize thats a thing to be different feelings and people. I just like to tell people now that i just have a lot of genres.
